We are trialing Figma as a replacement for Miro and as a candidate for UI design. We noticed when importing our Miro boards that Miro “Frames” lose their names. This is because Figma’s importer converts them into plain “Shapes”, which cannot have names, rather than the probably more appropriate “Sections”, which can. This creates a lot of extra work as we need to remake all of these Sections and manually name them. Here’s a comparison to illustrate that we’re losing a lot of valuable labeling:Miro: named framesFigma: our frame names are gone! 

The "Add a Make kit by default" (Manage Make kits for an organization – Figma Learn - Help Center) function has stopped working.It is configured correctly, but when creating a new Make file, the kit is not loaded automatically.

Hi Figma team,I’m developing a plugin and would like to ask whether Figma plans to expose an API for a node’s motion path trajectory, or whether there is already any supported way to read that data.In the Motion UI, after creating a position animation, users can edit the movement path much like editing a regular curve, which makes more complex path-based motion possible. I have a component for a quote box with two variables (large and small). The quote text box has a text property applied (so that if I change the copy, it stays the same when I switch between variants). I did have the text in the large one set to a larger text style than the small one. But now, when I try to edit the text, it changes the text styles in both versions to match. I want to be able to have the text that is in them linked, but not the text style.This has been an issue since the latest update.

Hi Figma team, I’m working on a prototype and the ‘Set playhead’ action doesn’t seem to work. Regardless of the timestamp I’m putting, the Figma motion animation continue as nothing happens. 

Description:I've created a library file containing many components. In the same file, I've also created several website page templates to test those components.The issue arises when the component is published and linked to a new file. In the new file, the instance's default variant interaction changes and no longer references its parent component. This happens with more than one component from the library. In the video I've linked, the component I'm demonstrating is the Checkbox component, but this issue also occurs with Button and others. I checked all the problematic components in the library and found no irregularities, such as inconsistent variant naming or similar issues.I then tried unpublishing and republishing the library, and this made the instance work normally again after updating. However, oddly, when I copy and paste the component from the library file into a new file (to duplicate the component), the same issue persists.I initially thought the library might be too large.

I am 12 student I like ui and ux designing so I use figma more .then I came to know that free policy for students so I am Willing to use that policy as a student but I can't find out my school in verification page but I am a student due to it . I am unable to complete the student verification process. So please help me to login . 

So normally in Figma Design its easy enough to sort but for whatever reason in Figma Sites I just can’t figure out why content scrolls over the sticky header. I’m really just playing around for a small website for a friend but I’ve now rebuilt it 3 times :D 

Hi Figma Support,I'm experiencing an issue where left-clicking on objects on the canvas stops working — I can't select objects by clicking on them. The problem occurs both in the Figma desktop app and in the browser version, and it also happens when using the trackpad, so it doesn't seem to be related to my mouse.The bug is intermittent: sometimes clicking works fine, then it stops working for a while, and later starts working again without any obvious pattern. Hi everyone,We’re using a Figma Professional Team account, and recently we’ve started facing an issue where users are being kicked out, and only two users are able to stay logged in at the same time.This restriction wasn’t there previously, and multiple team members were able to access the account without any issues.Has anyone else experienced this recently? Is this related to a change in Figma’s login/device policy, or is there a recommended way to resolve this?Would upgrading the plan or creating a separate account under a new email address be the right approach?Any guidance would be appreciated. I have quite a complex component (I guess), so I understand there's probably limitations around this. The design is more complex, I've just simplified for the demo and to not show client branding.The Figma file (view only). Prototype linkThe EffectWhen the user hovers over the side of the page, a cursor appears. As they move the mouse up/down the user follows them. Clicking "navigates to" a new page. This works pretty well...The ProblemIt works well if you click the middle of component - but if you click at the top/bottom, when it "navigates to" the new page, the component resets to it's default/initial state (centred) before moving back up/down to where it was - this is because the cursor moves when the rectangular areas are hovered over.The ComponentBasically has 11 variants, each one has the 'cursor' in a different position, aligning with one of the rectangles. So the issue is that after the last figma software update that i did i have been noticing that my copy and paste hasn't really been functional and at the same time it is frustrating, i have to press ctrl + c several times before it copies and also press several times to paste as well, and also the copy feature would not even work for components, auto layout assets, and grouped item as well and this is crazily frustrating please, i have to manually move and duplicate assets by holding down alt key and dragging the component to duplicate now and having to get the position on the other frame becomes a thing, please get this fixed as soon as possible and note that this actually started with the last update i did, I have never experienced it prior to the update

from browser it is saved straight as zip(why? it’s only 1) and from desktop app, it shows where to locate the save but no rename, and exporting with creating folder into folder that i already choose? what is this. Bring back the old saving as mechanism.  

Hello! I am somewhat new designing stuff in Figma, and I have an issue with some animations.I animated a velocimeter in the Motion section to play just when clicking on it, but every time I open an overlay on the same page it triggers the animation to start all over again. I don’t really know how to stop it, and need some help because I couldn’t find any info about this issue.
