Hi everyone,I'm experiencing a very strange issue with my Figma account and I'm hoping someone has seen this before.I've been using the same personal account for a long time (Google account + email/password login, both using the exact same email address).Today I logged in and noticed that:Almost all of my files are gone. My Drafts are empty. My profile picture has reverted to the default initial instead of the custom image I've always had. My account settings (email, name) are still correct. Logging in with Google or with email/password makes no difference. Hi, I purchased a collab seat and I am unable to Edit my own figma file now. I am the owner of the file but it shows a view only access to my file

Our team is on the Organization plan (annual billing), and we're trying to get in touch with our Account Manager [redacted by moderator to remove personal information] regarding some questions about the Additional AI Credits plan. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to reach them, and we also can't find a direct way to contact the sales team. Could someone advise who we should contact for billing and subscription inquiries related to AI credits? We tried to submit contact form but didn’t ghet any nswer/reply so far.We're specifically trying to understand how the Additional AI Credits plan works for Organization customers.When we attempt to purchase additional AI credits, the only option presented appears to be an annual purchase aligned with our existing contract term, even though the UI refers to "monthly credits" and indicates that the credits reset each month.A few things we'd love to clarify:1. As of today, my naming structure for components produces leading/trailing spaces in exports when it didn’t previously.Component name: “Documentation / 1A. Screen Example” This used to export like this:Folder “Documentation” containing “1A. Screen Example.pdf” But now, it exports like this:Folder “Documentation ” containing “ 1A. Screen Example.pdf” Until today, I’ve never run into an issue with exports doing this and my components have been named this way in bulk for several years. Is there a way to fix this issue?

I’m using the Figma agent beta in Figma Design and got an out of daily credits message. My AI balance still shows credits remaining, so this appears separate from regular AI credits (Figma Make). I do not see a reset time, Learn more link, or any way to track the beta’s daily limit. Can someone confirm the daily limit for the beta and whether there is a way to view remaining usage?I’m on starter plan. I have 20/500 credits left according to my usage plans (after relogging).

I have a few lost files. I’m missing 3 important design files from my Figma account. I looked at my drafts, recents and trash/deleted files section and its not there. They’re all made by me and I had a link the prototype because I had it linked to my old portfolio and it says “Prototype not found. Either this file doesn’t exist or you don’t have permission to view it. Ask the file owner to verify the link and/or update permissions.”This project used through this email so I’m confused where it went. I noticed a few other files were lost but the three that’s not working on my portfolio were case studies and really important project files so I’m hoping to get it back or get at least some answers.

One thing that really bothers me about working with this junk is that it’s become so widespread that it’s now the standard. Even something as simple as pasting within a frame is almost impossible these days—even if I repeat the process 100 times, sometimes it works and other times I have to navigate through every panel until I find the right frame. It’s a nightmare! I just hope a competitor comes along that’s good enough to put an end to this software, which has become way too bloated to handle the basics.

I’m currently testing the Slots feature and ran into an issue with how content and layout behave across states.In my setup, I’m using an internal element slot that is shared across multiple states (default, error, and hover). I’ve added additional content inside the slot (multiple lines), and everything works as expected in the base state.However, in the instance, when switching to the hover state, the slot does not preserve the injected content. Instead, it resets to the default version of that state (e.g., a single line), ignoring the extra items I previously added.Additionally, I’m using this component nested inside another component that also contains a slot. I have a Cell component (for tables), and in variants, the cell can contain inputs, which are a component on their own. This means I have a component within a component, and up to here all works fine. I create a Row component for a specific data-table, which contains multiple cells, some of them have the input variant, and I populate a table with instances of this Row component, and on this table, when I attempt to override the cell content of those inputs, the override does not work. Overriding content on those cells that are just text works fine, but when it involves the input cells, or buttons (component within component within component) it does not work. I have tested this in multiple instances, and it is clear that overrides for components that are nested in components which are themselves within a component (3 layers) cannot have any property edited.overriden.I have created workarounds, but would be nice to have a fix for this limitation in Figma. 

Prototyping just isn’t working as expected I’ve tried refreshing the tab, dumping cache, I’ve broken it down and rebuild it 5 times. I’ve even threatened the thing. I can’t get it to work any ideas  or suggestions would be deeply appreciated

Hi Figma team,I'd like to request a per-account option to disable the AI sparkle (✦) icon that appears when hovering over elements in the editor.Currently, the only way to turn off Figma AI features is at the team admin level, which requires admin access and affects all team members. There's no way for an individual user to opt out of the AI hover trigger on their own account.For users who don't use Figma AI, this icon adds visual noise to the editing experience and can interfere with the workflow — especially when working with dense layers or small elements, where the sparkle icon overlaps with other controls.Requested behavior: add a toggle in user account preferences (e.g. Account Settings → Editor preferences) to show/hide the AI sparkle icon on hover, independently from team-level AI settings.Thank you for considering this!

I am experiencing an issue with my student verification status on my Figma account.My student verification was approved through SheerID on Aug 13 , 2026, under my university email but when logged in i don’t get to see the student benifits available to me please help me out it’s an urgent 

I want to build a copy component with the following layers structure:copyComponentWrapper: parent componentproperties:  - copychildren Instances:  - desktopCopy (instance of copyComponent): has > 12 variants  - mobileCopy (instance of copyComponent): has > 12 variantsI have solved this with a single component that holds the desktopCopy and mobileCopy as different text layers, but it generates more than 100 variations, which is of course, undesireable.I’ve read previous posts and it looks like linking children properties to parent properties is still not available.I also know that can expose nested properties, but this implies that I have to enter the same copy twice in two different placeholders and it’s very confusing for the designer, and it also multiplies by 2 all variable integrations that I’m using with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.So… is there any other option that I haven’t explored yet? As the exploited solution is very… non scalable.

I am creating a personal hub where tiles link to various places related to my workflow. Some of these tiles link to Figma files, but Figma Make’s AI agent won’t let me paste Figma URLs in the chat box. I had to bypass it by breaking the URL with specific characters while asking the Figma Make agent to remove those specific characters (Example: giving the agent https://www.figmddda.com/design/WIM and telling it to remove the ‘ddd’). A better solution is Figma just allows us to paste in Figma links then add a dialogue explaining situations where pasting Figma frames would be better - because my situation needs the Figma URL, not a frame.

Hey team, I’m trying to publish a Figma Make template for my organization to use. I’ve got it in a great state, but I can’t select a Make Kit to add. This is important, as the template will be used by others on my team, and I want to have kits pre-installed. Left sidebar in Figma MakeI see it in other Figma Make files, just not the one that I have all the edits and context for. See a different file: Is it because my Make file is older? I did start this file a few months ago.​​​​​​

i am a university student. Last july, I attempted to verify my student status to use the team project, but it has not been applied. SheerID says the verification is complete and have told me contact Figma. How can I apply this to my account?as a result, SheerID verification succeeded, but I did not receive the education plan setup email. Please apply this as soon as possible

 i am admin,full seat,my team invited me but i cannot edit any file without “ask to edit”,other members didnt have any problems 

The client has shared a file with me and given me “can edit” rights, but I cant edit. I am getting this error “An Admin needs to update your seat so you can edit file”. Any ideas? Thanks

CMND + OPTN + C and  then CMND + OPTN + V not making desired results (I use it for boldening and coloring particular text just in some on-page notes i make). it happened before latest release, was hoping that update would resolve but no dice. on a Mac running 15.7.7 (pre apple silicon, but to my knowledge this issue should not be caused by that) -can anyone else confirm on newer or same/older mac, running desktop app btw, that the issue is happening for them as well?

Backstory: I’m trying to create a website. I tell what i want and it makes it, no problem. Problem arises when it doesnt display the visual as i told him to do, in this case, stacked bar graphs. went over 3 versions as it says on the figma make editor and when i see older versions (ver 5 and ver 6), they display the visual exactly how i want it, but it did not display the same when figma make showed me the output. In this instance you can see in the images that i’m going to attach here.this image 1 is the output(ver 7) from figma make (this is app SS but over website was the same) and it doesnt display the stacked bar graphs like i want.image 1 this is image 2 and is the output (ver 5 / ver 6) after i go back to preview a former version. Figma make didnt show me the stacked graphs when it was a fresh output (ver 5 and 6). i thought it's an AI thingy where sometimes it doesn't give the right output and have to explain him which took me through ver 5 to ver 7, but by mistake i previewed

I paid for a paid plan of $20, but my account was blocked due to non‑payment of the plan. I turned it off, but the account still hasn’t been unblocked. I want to switch back to the free plan!
