I’ve created over 100 artboards in Figma and want to create a PDF from them. After exporting the file, I found that it’s quite large in size. How can I effectively reduce the file size? Compressing the PDF with online tool (ilovepdf) only seems to decrease the size by about a third, and it’s still around 10MB. I can’t export it as an image also. Any help and explanation why it’s so heavy will be appreciate!

Hey have seen the other threads too but none of those solutions seem to work. So noticed the other day my vertical ruler had gone missing, have tried restarting figma, my laptop, going fullscreen, minimising etc and nothing seems to bring it back and can’t see an option to just turn one ruler off in the settings ?If i clicked the ‘minimize ui’ button on at the top right of the layers panel I can see the ruler behind everything but can’t seem to use it while I have to UI open which obv isn’t really ideal when trying to work having to turn the UI off and on to get to the ruler

Hi everyone,I’d like to ask about the current review timeline for plugins submitted to the Figma Community.I submitted a plugin for review quite a while ago, but it is still pending and I haven’t received any approval, rejection, or feedback yet.I understand that the Figma team may receive a large number of plugin submissions and that the review process can take some time. However, since my submission has been under review for much longer than I expected, I’m wondering: How long does the plugin review process usually take? Is it normal for a submission to remain pending for several weeks or longer? Is there any way to check the review status or contact the Figma team if a plugin has been waiting for a long time? Should I resubmit the plugin, or is it better to continue waiting? If anyone has recently submitted a plugin and can share their review timeline or experience, I’d really appreciate it.Thanks in advance for any information or advice!

Hello,I'm experiencing a rendering issue with screenshots in Figma that appeared recently without any changes to my settings.Problem: When I place screenshots in my Figma file, they display with unwanted colored boxes overlaid on them in the editor view. Hello! I am somewhat new designing stuff in Figma, and I have an issue with some animations.I animated a velocimeter in the Motion section to play just when clicking on it, but every time I open an overlay on the same page it triggers the animation to start all over again. I don’t really know how to stop it, and need some help because I couldn’t find any info about this issue.

The Dev Mode MCP Server shows as enabled/connected in the Figma desktop app (Inspect panel → MCP server section), and the Claude connector confirms it's paired. But it isn't actually working — the client-side error is always the generic "enable Dev Mode MCP Server" instructional message, as if it were never turned on at all.On the technical side (checked by someone helping me): nothing is listening on the local port the server should be using (127.0.0.1:3845 — connection refused every time), and there are no crash logs for Figma around when I enable it.This was working fine yesterday and I haven't changed any settings. So far I've tried, with no change:Fully quitting and reopening Figma desktop Fully quitting and reopening Claude desktop Removing and re-adding the MCP connection in Figma's Dev Mode panel Signing out of Figma and back in Checking macOS Firewall (it's off, so not the cause) Testing across multiple different Figma files, not just oneFigma desktop version: 126.8.18, macOS

Hi,I’m trying to change my personal account email to my company email, but I keep getting this message:“Cannot update email — … is already taken.”Im aware this company email is already connected to a Figma account that I signed up using Google login. I did reset the password for that account and tried changing it to a different spare email, but it still didn’t work. I kept getting the same “email is already taken” message. Since that account has no files or projects, I tried to delete it, but then I got this error:“An error occurred while attempting to delete your account.” So right now I’m stuck and can’t use my company email on my main Figma account.This email won’t be valid in 2 days, so I really need your help to remove or free up the company email so I can change it on my main account 🙏🏻Thanks in advance!

Hello, I am trying to run through the MCP OAuth protocol to register a client on the Figma remote MCP server, running into an issue when calling the registration endpoint.After discovering the registration endpoint via the /.well_known/oauth-authorization-server call, I call the registration endpoint via:curl -sS -v -X POST "$REG_ENDPOINT" -H "Content-Type: application/json" -d '{    "redirect_uris": ["http://127.0.0.1:53195/callback"],    "grant_types": ["authorization_code","refresh_token"],    "response_types": ["code"],    "token_endpoint_auth_method": "none"  }' I get back from this a “Forbidden” response and without this response I can’t continue the OAuth protocol.Does client registration have limitations to prevent it from working on different domains and url callbacks at the moment? I am doing this in a context outside of Claude, Cursor, etc..

Hello! I’m trying to resolve conflicts as I update from main, but the preview doesn’t make sense and it’s making it difficult to choose the right version.The branch is for adding the new pink banner. When I look at the main file, there is no pink banner, as expected.But as I try to resolve conflicts, the preview is showing the banner in both the main file and the branch:I promise I opened the actual main file and looked at the correct frames, that pink banner is absolutely not there. So why is it showing in the preview?This has to be a bug right? (I restarted Figma and restarted my computer, the issue persists)Thanks in advance for any help!EDIT: I might have figured it out. Is it because the preview shows NOT what that frame looks like in the main file right now, it shows what it will look like AFTER you select it and update from main? So the main preview reflects components that were updated in the branch?

I accidentally created a new Figma account with my school email while trying to change the email address of my existing Figma account.I need to delete this newly created account so that I can use the school email for my existing account.However, when I go to Settings → Account → Delete account and confirm the deletion, I receive the following error:“An error occurred while attempting to delete your account.”I have tried multiple times and the error occurs every time.Could a Figma Support Specialist please help delete this account and release the email address so I can use it for my existing account?  

Hi Figma Support,I'm unable to create a GitHub repository from Figma Make.The error is simply:"Could not create repository"I have already tried the following: Disconnected GitHub from Figma Make Fully closed Figma and the browser Opened a fresh Microsoft Edge session Reconnected GitHub Re-authorized the Figma GitHub integration Tried creating a completely new repository name, including "john" Confirmed that the repository name is not already in use The same "Could not create repository" error occurs every time.My Figma Make project is approximately 28 MB, so the project size is relatively small.I previously also saw 400/403/404 errors in the browser console related to the Figma Make/GitHub integration.Could you please check whether there is an issue with the GitHub repository creation API or my Figma account's GitHub integration and escalate this to the Technical Quality team if necessary?Thank you.

My comments are taking forever to submit and I keep having to hit “Retry” when the notification pops up. Additionally when I drag and drop an image into a comment it also takes a very long time to upload and I can’t even submit the comment. Sometimes I have to cancel the upload of an image and re add it multiple times.  

I am experiencing a bug with an icon placeholder component that uses 5 different size variants.The issue starts in the Assets panel, where the component thumbnail already appears flipped/inverted. When I drag the component onto the canvas and use the Instance Swap property to select a designated Preferred Value, the nested icon automatically flips or rotates incorrectly.It seems like Figma is not preserving the true orientation during the instance swap across variant sizes.

The app is currently flagged as "Legacy" in our Atlassian Admin panel, and there is no Update option available on the Marketplace.As Atlassian has announced the end-of-support for legacy app platform frameworks in January 2027, we need to understand Figma's roadmap for this app.Could you please provide: Is Figma for Jira being actively maintained and migrated to the Forge platform ahead of the January 2027 deadline? If yes, what is the expected release timeline for a compliant version? If the app will not be updated, is there an official alternative or replacement you recommend for embedding Figma designs in Jira? Any Blend mode (like Overlay) resets to Normal when any element with a solid color variable is Duplicated, Copied or Moved. This has thrown my whole design in disarray, I use them in many places (buttons, badges, tags) and all the components become solid colors instead of Overlays

Your site is is absolutely terrible for simple task. I have searched everywhere to find a place to change credit cards to the point I think I will just cancel my plans instead, if I can find that!  My god 

Hi everyone,I'm running into an issue with the Transitions/Animation code panel in Dev Mode when using variable modes for accent colors.Setup:One color variable (e.g. "Accent/Background") with multiple modes — each mode represents a different accent color (Mode 1 = Mint, Mode 2 = Violet, Mode 3 = Amber, etc.). The mode is set at the frame/instance level (not via component variants). A "While hovering → Change to [hover value]" interaction is set up, using the same variable's hover-state color.Issue 1 – Hardcoded hex instead of variable referenceThe generated animation code in the Transitions panel shows the colors as hardcoded hex values instead of referencing the variable, e.g.:@keyframes kf_..._background-color_0 { 0% { background-color: #7D1FB8; } 100% { background-color: #0F8279; }}Issue 2 – Hover always resolves to Mode 1, regardless of active modeMore importantly: no matter which mode the frame is set to, the hover ("100%") keyframe always ends up at the Mode 1 value (#0F8279

Hi everyone, does anyone know how Figma handles AI-content provenance when generating and exporting images? For example, Nano Banana uses SynthID, while other models may use C2PA metadata or Content Credentials. However, I can’t find any Figma documentation explaining:Whether these provenance signals are preserved when an image is exported from Figma, Whether Figma adds its own machine-readable marking, Which standard Figma uses to comply with Article 50(2) of the EU AI ActHas Figma published anything about this, or has anyone tested exports from the different models available in Figma?
