Question

Using components from a branch to build a prototype

From what I can tell, I am not able to access any of the new components that I have created in my Library branch, outside of my Library branch file until I merge the branch back into the main Library file. This has forced me to create prototypes (using the new components) in my Library branch file. Is this what everyone else is doing, or am I missing something?

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. If I understand your question correctly, you are correct.

You can only publish to a library from the main file. If you’ve made changes in a branch that you want to share, you’ll need to merge the branch before publishing.

So, if you’d like to use updated assets in your branch library, you need to merge it.

I hope it gives you a clarity but please feel free to post anytime!

Thanks,
Toku
