Text in resume pdf doesn't copy and paste correctly

When I export my resume as a pdf, everything looks correct. However, when I try to copy and paste the text, many words are misspelled or have random characters in it. This is a big problem for when companies auto read my resume.

Hey Chasen! Thanks for flagging this. Can you clarify if the issue (copy and paste the text) happens after you export the PDF from Figma? If so, we can investigate on our end.

(If this PDF was not exported from Figma, the issue would be from the PDF source instead of Figma.)

Hi, yes the issue only occurs after exporting the pdf from Figma. Copy and pasting the text from inside Figma has no issues.

I mostly fixed it by moving the properties to a new frame and retyping some of the text, but a couple letters are still not correct.

Thank you for confirming! I’ve escalated internally to the engineering team to investigate the issue - while I cannot set an ETA yet for the fix at this time.

Ensure that the font used in their username are properly included in the PDF file. When font are not attached then PDF viewer can change the font result in character are missing and misspelling.
