Publishing & updating components overrides existing text

Question

Hi there,
Not too sure if I am the only one experiencing this issue.

I made changes to my Design System and published it
Hopped onto my design file and updated the components
All my existing content within overridden with a placeholder text

Can’t seem to find any solution to this so far. Please help &#x1f615;

Did you delete the text layer and add a new one? If so then :  Overriding text in updated componentsEach layer has its own unique ID. By deleting a layer and adding a new one, the layer IDs will no longer match between the library objects and the design file objects, which is why the overrides are reset.
