After installing, did you reload? Keep in mind that you need to reload any open files in your browser to start using your fonts.

I’m having the same problem, running on MacOS 10.14.6 (Mojave). After I clicked open, that window disappeared and I thought the installation was completed. I refreshed, closed, and opened my Figma windows and it’s still not installed. This is a recent problem because I initially already had my local fonts in Figma.

Hmm I’m wondering if the install got stuck somehow. Can you try a fresh install of the desktop app and the font installer both found on this page: Figma Downloads | Web Design App for Desktops & Mobile

I don’t have the desktop app installed as I prefer working on Chrome. Just tried reinstalling the Font Installer, but unfortunately still didn’t work 😦

Dear Figma Forum,

I see several issues posted about the Missing Fonts popup using Figma. This is a SHOWSTOPPER bug with no verified workaround or root cause identified… that I can find. I gave up after 2 hours. I am unable to use Figma when the ‘Missing Fonts’ dialog pops up with every copy/paste and other frequent actions. Does anyone have a recommended way forward? I like using Figma, but will abandon it until I can find a non-destructive way forward, e.g. not re-installing the OS, removing/reinstalling all my local fonts, reinstalling all my Adobe Creative Suite apps, etc.

I am running Mac OS Sonoma 14.5. No other apps have issues accessing fonts installed on my laptop. I have tried Figma on both the browser edition and desktop app. For ‘Fonts installed by you’, it says ‘No Fonts Found’. I am currently the only member of the team on a free plan (for now). The files under edit were previously edited by other team members before they left.

Tried restarting, reinstalling Figma to no avail. None of the fonts used in the current design file is in the missing fonts list. Why is Figma reporting on fonts that I do not use? (Jakarta, SF Pro, Satoshi…)

Hey everyone, I hope you are doing well.

My Figma desktop app was working fine, allowing me to work on various projects and add custom fonts for my clients. However, after a recent update, I noticed that most of my installed fonts disappeared, leaving only six fonts available. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Figma, restarting my computer, and clearing the cache, but none of these solutions resolved the issue. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

To use a font, it must be installed in your computer’s font manager.

• On Mac, the font manager is called Font Book. Apple provides guidelines for installing and validating fonts in Font Book on Mac. As a general rule, if you can see your font in Font Book, it’s installed on your computer.

Can you please check that your font was successfully installed in your Font Book?

Yes, the fonts are installed in my Font Book. Still doesn’t show up on Figma

As a 1st step, can you please try installing the “missing fonts” (Jakarta, SF Pro, Satoshi…) that are being flagged by our FigmaAgent?

If our initial troubleshooting is correct, that should be a temporary workaround for now to allow you to do work undisturbed. Let us know as the team continues to dig deeper in what may have happened on the backend.

Are you also able to share a link to the file this is happening with? And if so, please share edit access with support-share@figma.com, so our team can take a closer look?

To reproduce, I just copy/paste the “Candidate” text box (or any other text element).

tried to install the agent, but it’s asking to install Rosetta, I would thought such small app would have been converter to Apple Silicon by now…

I am having this problem right now. I’m on 10.13.6. I tried the desktop app, but it says it requires 10.15 . I just downloaded and installed Figma Agent, it gives me the message about being downloaded from the internet. I click ok and it just closes. Open it again and now I see FigmaAgent in the activity monitor. I quit chrome and refreshed everything but still have no access to any of my fonts.

Thank you for the reply @dvaliao . I just deleted the fonts out of my font book, re - downloaded helvetica neue and installed it while Figma agent was running. I quite chrome and reopened it - no user installed fonts and no helvetica. Did the same thing again without the Figma agent running, and started it after installing, with the same result. Is there a way I can download a version of the app that works with 10.13? Thank you!

Hi, apologies if this is not the correct place to post this, but I have the same problem in which all my fonts have disappeared. Working perfectly previously, last used a few days ago. Using Figma Browser.

Im fairly new to Figma but i’ve searched the community posts and tried everything suggested. Restarted mac, Figma agent running etc.

No fonts are appearing despite my Font Book on MacBook filled with fonts, even downloaded a new font to test.

Can see the font names when i click on a already made text box in one of my previous Figma Files/projects but cannot edit and Cannot type in a new text box.

I have posted a Q in the community but thought I would add it here also in case this is a bug that can be amended.

Could you try reinstalling the Figma font installer?

If that doesn’t work, can you also check your Font Book and double-check that the fonts you’ve installed have been validated? Simply right-click to show the menu below:

From there, be sure to click “Validate Font”.
