Dear Support,I have a question about adding interactions in a component. I added interactions to one variant, but it is not set as the default in the design. When I display this variant in the prototype, the added interaction does not appear. Is that normal?Please refer to the attached gif.  Thanks.Mia

Also, what plugins or workflows do you find most helpful for improving efficiency when working on projects, especially in team environments? Hi,I have configured the Figma MCP setup in my VSCode and tried to get the annotations data for a figma screen. The screen has many annotated components and I did code connect for the components as well. No matter which ever prompt I try, I’m not getting the annotated values. The prompts run get_metadata and get_code of the MCP server but still I get no desired resultsSee the below figma screen  ScreenWhat should be the correct prompt or way I can extract all the annotations for the figma screen url and store it in a file?

Hi,Before figma release import/export variables feature, I often use Design Token manager plugin to work with my variables. Today, I can't import json back to figma because the format is different, instead I use figma native feature, which is so so much problematic. If I have 2 ways alias, it require the alias collection already imported in the app, therefore my variables is broken (not completed)If i have outside figma system variables, I can’t import too. Figma trying to lock user in it’s own system, and feature is half baked release.Anyone try different methods/ plugins so you can import your into figma?

I created a new Slides template, but I’m still only seeing the default stock slides in the “New slide” dropdown. I’m not sure how to remove those and add my own custom slide layouts.I’m also unclear on how to create or edit a template style, including setting custom colors and text styles. The deck defaults to the “Light Slides” style, but I don’t see any options to edit or add a new template style.I’m on a company plan and appear to have full access to Figma Slides.Any help appreciated.

I can’t figure out how to take a whole file which contains a clickable prototype, and send it to Figma Make. I can only see how to do 3 frames max. When I paste the file link into Figma make, I then get prompted back to doing singular frames at a time 

I was editting a page in Figma make and whej I asked it to “undo” something it undid all the work that I had input and sorted. Please help!   

HI everyone. I’m trying to play with new extended collection. Suggested workflow mentions to EXPORT current modes, delete them and then re-import them into Extended collection.  The issue is that I do see Extended collections, so the feature has been propagated to my account, but I dont see Import / Export mode functionality in the contextual menuAny Idea?

Hello,We would like to report an inconsistent behavior affecting icons that use size variables in Figma.Issue description:When importing icons from our library into other Figma files, some icons unexpectedly change size. The icon visually resizes without any clear reason when pasting, instancing, or updating the library.What’s particularly strange is that this behavior only happens in certain files, while the same icons work correctly in others.Context of our setup:We have a main Figma file where all our icons are centralized.In that file, each icon component is assigned size variables, and the actual size is defined through modes that represent different scale tiers (e.g., small, medium, large).In theory, when consuming these icons in other files, their size should remain stable according to the selected mode.What we have already checked: Size variables are correctly defined and synchronized across files. So, I‘ve generated 200+ beautiful artworks in a gouache-like style of cities. They look like city postcard drawings. I needed the for my side project.!-->But I figured why not publish them in the Figma community and earn a few bucks, to support my project. Is that legal? Obviously, the illustrations are color-corrected, watermark-removed and modified for consistency, so there‘s a human input by me involved.While reasing the Community resources guidelindes, I didn‘t spot any explicit forbidding of selling such artwork, so hopefully that‘s a green light. But still, I‘d like to ask the Figma community about it. What do you think?

Hi Figma Support Team, I by mistake deleted a file and then also “permanently deleted” it from trash. It’s extremely unfortunate as it was my mistake completely but it had my years of work and specially in past 2 months I did a lot in the file. Hi everyone, I recently pushed an update to my plugin to fix an issue, but the update hasn’t propagated to all users yet (including one of my own Figma accounts). For example, it works correctly on one account but not on another. I also noticed that it works in the browser version of Figma, but not in the Figma desktop app.How should I handle this? A number of my users are experiencing the same issue, and I’d like to understand the best way to resolve or mitigate it.

Hi everyone! I’ve been using Figma for a while and I just realised there’s this new quick toolbar that appeared out of nowhere (the one above the toolbar). Before I can hold Ctrl + double click on an image to rescale it but now with this new quick toolbar it enters crop mode which doesn’t really work for me. Please if there is a way to hide it or at least revert it in case I accidentally hit something? Thanks a lot! 

Whenever I want to proofread text, I have to copy it into a browser or a Grammarly editor, fix it, then paste it back. This is especially painful when working on multiple frames or variants with repeated copy.This back-and-forth slows down the entire product design process.Direct Grammarly support inside Figma would make writing cleaner and faster.

I had recently applied through my student id. My request was verified by Sheer Id. However, I haven’t received any mail from Figma Team on how to set-up my account and avail the benefits of student id. Does anyone have any idea about how much time is it going to take?
