I created a board here to demonstrate curl --location 'https://api.figma.com/v1/files/l9giJNba4NDJwBIl5EDD2S' \ --header 'X-Figma-Token: TOKEN' All I get is "name": "Elephant23", "characters": "Elephant23", ... "name": "Test", "characters": "Test" Is this expected?

I have a Figma file for a design system. The variables are being used by nested variables to 4-5 levels deep. There are ~3,000 variables in the file. I’ve tried to minimized components by using variables but now updating a single color variable takes ages to update. I’ve tried isolating the problem by duplicating the file and deleting all components and variables except ~130 color variables even then the update gets stuck. Anybody experiencing similar issues and has any workarounds?

I want my Figma UI to continue running even when the internet connection is down. I thought I could achieve this via loadAllPagesAsync() [ figma | Plugin API ] which ‘Loads all pages of the document into memory’. My UI is comprised of three frames: A, B and C. I use conditional logic (referencing my local variables which a custom plugin changes every 1 second, for testing purposes ) and the mousehover event over my Frames to establish UX behaviours. I run the plugin and as the variables change and the mouse over event is active screen A,B or C switch in and out accordingly. When I run my UI and then kill the wifi connection I get the following errors in my console (see below) and the UX stops working ( plugin still running and variables changing but screen not transitioning in response to mouseover and conditional logic. Is there a place where I can download an older version of the figma app? I can’t use the app after I clicked update Figma and I can’t update my iMac cause ‘Apple’

Was this an intentional change from Figma? Searching for this issue here shows this isn’t the first time this functionality has disappeared from the app. It’s a very important feature that gets a lot of use. Could we please bring it back?

I don’t know why my exported jpg is showing all this extra white space around the segment I want to export in FigJam. Can anyone help me? I just want a jpg that is the size of the content in the section.

Hello, I’m currently using the latest Mac OS 15 and encountering an issue with Figma. I am unable to apply system fonts within the software. I’m experiencing a glitch where text elements will not display correctly or at all in the prototype. The thing that fixes it is making some kind of change in the element (removing a stroke, changing the color, etc.) and undoing the change. Everything is nested correctly in the frame and it seems to only affect text elements. I work at a digital marketing agency. This is a huge issue for us because we’re sending our prototypes to our clients and they are missing elements. I’m not allowed to post a video or screenshots as a “new user”. Figma, are you aware of this glitch?

Hi, is there a way for someone with view-only access to change a layer variable? I use it for different languages and want a view-only user to be able to modify the value and export it in the selected language.

Is anyone facing the same issue as me? Ever since the new file/project/team structure was introduced, despite the message saying that shifting drafts wouldn’t impact the files, yet more than 10 of my Figma files, and also YEARS of past project evidences used to build up my design portfolio have all disappeared! They aren’t in the deleted tab, and they weren’t deleted to begin with. In fact, some of the files have stayed open, and now they are showing “404”. I NEED MY FILES! Just let me download them. Figma is getting not reliable…

I checked all previous post relating this Warning. I also tried to figure it out to some extent. Here’s what I learned about when the warning appears: “Change to” from 1 variant to another is set the “Change to” is placed within Conditional if statement the interaction was copy&pasted to another element (still within the same variant of the same component or another variant but from the same component) the component with the “Change to” action is nested within another component Just by recreating the action manually without copy&paste removes the warning. Even after clearing the warning my intended actions don’t work the way they supposed to. From what I can tell - if variables are used with variable modes and each component instance has the proper variable mode set (by inheritance or directly) AND action depends on condition checking some of these variables, the scope of variables is ALWAYS the FIRST mode on conditional check BUT CORRECT (however it is set up) on the actual

A few days ago almost all of my design files in my account were deleted. How can I restore them? I never deleted them and other people who have access can still see them so they seem to still exist somewhere

I had previously built out a horizontal sticky navigation that used the “Scroll to” interaction on the page. The interactions seem to have broken this week, maybe due to an update? When I click on one of the links the page will scroll down to the content (and the nav slides up and is sticky at the top of the page), but all of the links are scrolled up as well, off of their nav item so they not longer work. It is as if the hotspots have moved up and away from the links. I can provide a screenshot, or link if needed privately.

Save as fig, sketch export why there are missing layers

I’ve created a dropdown menu and the menu itself seems to be working well, but when I’m testing this in prototype, the menu takes up the whole screen and gets rid of whatever background I have. This only happens when I’ve selected an option from the drop down choices. In the picture, I have it set as a desktop frame. I’ve also ran into the issue of the menu being in the top left corner first and then taking up the whole screen

Hey all, Looking for help or workarounds and how to lock drop shadows so when a object is rotated the shadows have the same orientation relative to object. My last option is to dupe the object to create the shadows, but I really really don’t want to do that as I want to make lots of iterations and chances quickly to many different shapes. Thanks!

Figma is using too much ram in MacBook air m3 8gb ram compared to pc with i7300kf 32gb ram. In macbook it takes 4gb ram in browser or native app compated to pc only takes 2gb ram. We know when the ram amount is small the website takes less ram.

My desktop Figma app constantly goes offline then back online, like I just watched it do it 6 times in a minute and a half. When it goes offline, I experience terrible freezing and lagging and am unable to work it’s that bad. I’ve restarted everything, everything is up-to-date, I’ve even reinstalled Figma just in case and nothing seems to be helping. Any ideas?

When adding seats for our team via “add additional seats,” we don’t understand why this funnel transforms our monthly plan into an annual plan. How can we downgrade our plan to a monthly billing cycle as it was before? The online support doesn’t explain how to downgrade to a monthly plan. hello everyone, i just have one question, i was trying to update to Figma pro but when i wanted to insert the credit card number i realised that my country (Lebanon) is not on the list of countries that Figma accepts credit cards from, so i was wondering if there was another way to get Figma pro or to solve this issue, thank you in advanced

I was given a Figma file from an agency and it’s using variables for color that dynamically change modes. It’s very cool, however, i cannot find the source of the variables, and therefore cannot build off of this file and extend the system. Please help! See this very short video!
