Hello, maybe I’m just being dense or maybe it’s due to me being fairly new to Figma, but my hover animation on my nav bar is acting strange. I have a component set containing each of the states it can be in depending on which page link you are hovering over. Plus all of them are wired up the same way in the prototyping. However, for some reason, when I hover over the “home” link it also activates the “Shop now”. There is no link between these two. I can’t for the life of me figure it out. What am I doing incorrectly here? I added a video to make it clear what I’m dealing with. For reference the way that “Contact Us” and “Journal” are working is the way it’s all supposed to work. Built a Figma Slides template with a table on one of the slides with color variables so when we change the color theme it changes with the theme and we wont have to change it manually. I go and make a new slide deck using the template. In the add new slide panel it shows the color of the stroke on the table is there but once I add the actual slide it changes the stroke color to white and then in my design panel the color name is blank.

Beginner here. Can someone please explain how these are similar / different?

I think that it’s time to update Figma interace, i think that other tools like Sketch, XD and Framer has a great UI, Figma is the best in features and plugins,but UI still missing something. if you agree please vote up.

There are two situations, the first is when the font weight is specified in variables as a string, the second is when the font weight is specified as a value. In CSS the value is specified as a kebab variable. string falls into CSS as a normal property. But when we assign a font family as a string , css treats it as a kebab variable. What is the reason? Bug or feature?)

Hello! Is there a way to create an instance or a viewport of a frame from the same file in Figma? Essentially, I’m looking to have frame A1 that is the exact copy of frame A and update with any changes. I don’t want to create a component of my frame A because I would have to create a lot of them to make a whole flow. How would I use it? My team likes to have a representation of all the pages of our web app in a flow in one single page on Figma, for example Basket → Detail → Phone → Payment → Confirmation But because our designs are complex and have a lot of variations, all designs are separate in our Figma file, eg one page for all variations of Basket.

I created a hyperlink in the text in Figma desktop. When I click present, the link works and directs to the intended destination. However, qhy when I click it in the Figma mobile mirror app, the link results in a blank white screen.

How can I create an interactive SWIG menu in Figma that updates dynamically based on user selections?

It is possible to see the Width, Height’s layout property like Hug contents, Fill container, Fixed width in Layout mode, but I can’t check it in Compose code. Dev mode’s compose code just show fixed values like width: 000, height: 000. but Compose has own fill property like modifier = Modifier .fillMaxWidth() .fillMaxHeight() How can I get those value in compose code mode? Even I can check display options in SWIFTUI code .frame property or CSS’s display. ++If there is already a way to do this, please let me know. I tried the Codia AI plugin, but it doesn’t work, just the loading progress bar goes round and round infinitely.

i am using Figma on my mac os 10.15 but if i update Figma it wont be able to run anymore so how do i stop Figma from updating

Hi! Beginner in Figma: I need your help. I have created a “blocks” of texts which expands when clicking on the header. Its 4 headers with various amounts of text. When all of the headers are expanded its not enough room for it in the frame (Iphone 13), I understand I can expand the frame in order to give space to the text but is there a smart way for the frame to identify this and expand and retract?

Brand new to Figma and designing my first mobile app. I want all my elements, padding, and margins to be divisible by four. However, when I look at the mobile templates Figma has provided, most do not seem to be divisible by four. For example, the Iphone 14 Pro has a height of 393, which is obviously not divisible by four. Is it okay if I change the height to 392 instead?

Hi, I have created an animated button that emits “drops” when pressed. This works well in the prototype view via the browser. When I test it on my end device - IPhone X - while mirrowing. This button hangs and skips the animation. Sometimes it seems to work, but most of the time it doesn’t. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

I have been using the characterStyleOverrides and styleOverrideTable properties to find hyperlinks on Text Nodes for several months. Out of nowhere today, hyperlinks are no longer consistently being returned in the response from the GET /v1/files/:key/nodes REST endpoint. I am able to reproduce this across several text nodes and files.

I can’t remove a component. I’ve looked through the forum issues and I can’t see the exact same scenario. I made a component and I need to remove it, but here’s the problem. When I try, there is no option to detach the instance or remove it. This is what it looks like in the layers panel: And when I try to right-click, here are the menu options: I tried copying the component so I could detach it, but it copies it over just like a main component. Any ideas on what I’m doing wrong?

Hi, I am using variable modes and I connected each toggle switch with the respective variable mode(You can ignore SwitchEmail variable). Toggle buttons are working as expected. I have “disable all” button at top to disable all toggle button . So You can see I set interaction as setting variable to false. But issue is that it is not working as expected. What happens is when I click on disable all then only 1st toggle button disable. When I click again on “disable all” then all other three push toggle disabled. Also when I switch on 1st toggle then all other three push toggle also become true. Can someone please resolve this issue? What I am missing in interactions?

I have big pages with multiple designs elements that for some reasons cannot be on separate pages. Having them on separate pages won’t allow us to compare them one against the others. Is there a way to share a specific area or location (x,y) of the page so when developers open the link don’t land in the wrong area and get lost?

Why is the (Google)font not loaded with the weights? This seems to appear after the update of Figma. Last week it worked fine.

Not seeing a way to have variable bool states allow for smart animations in the same way changing variant states allows for it (i.e. if you made a switch that flipped using 2 variants, it’s easy to have them smart animate to each other… but not possible with variables, as variable state changes don’t seem to have controls for animation)

Hey Figma Team, I’m encountering a significant issue with scaling shapes using the keyboard. Previously, the process was smooth: Hit K. Tab once to change the width or height precisely. However, after the recent update: Hitting K brings up the alignment panel in the scale module. The Tab key no longer navigates to the width and height fields, skipping them entirely. This bug prevents accurate scaling through the keyboard, disrupting workflow efficiency. Please fix this ASAP to restore the previous functionality. Thanks, Hyke bug

I understand that I am looking to create a node from a Figma widget without redirecting the customer away from my website. I have already embedded the Figma URL containing the widget on my website and created a plugin, but I am having trouble running the widget from the embedded iframe. I am wondering if this is possible and if there is an API that could help me accomplish this.
