I have different variants of a component and they are different heights. It will be an overlay on the bottom right of the screen. The issue is when changing the component to a taller one it goes off from the bottom of the screen. I constrained to right and bottom but it doesn’t help. I’m using a card component from my DS so I can’t really use the auto layout. What solution can I have

I’m so frustrated what to do. My student licence ran out before I could complete my Coursea Course. I’m dyslexic and was stuck on how to order my layers on the artboard and now my student trial has completely timed out and I can’t complete my course without it. I don’t know how to resolve this. Hi Community! I have a prototype which has a button that sends the user to a WhatsApp conversation. Yesterday I was able to open that link with my Figma directly into to WhatsApp app. Now however, the link is opened in a browser. I did not change anything, so I don’t know how this happened. What can I do to force the Figma app to open my link in the app instead of in a browser? Maybe this is a WhatsApp thing that changed, but it’s very weird… Thanks 🙂

Hi, I made an animation in Figma/Jitter and did an export as lottie/json file. On the site of lottie you can test your json and you can see that the json file is not animating in the skottie engine. This is used in skiasharp that i use in .net maui. Does anybody now how to fix this, it is an very simple animation and in lottiefiles/lottiewebplayer there is no problem. But those are not supported in .net maui. Hope somebody can help! Thank you. I am looking for resources around Code Connect and if it is possible to publish to a branch of our design system? I looked through the docs there doesn’t seem to be any explicit mentions of publishing to a branch. I would love to have branch protection as I do not want to have any adverse issues while implementing Code Connect

I am a new user. When I paste an image (of 690 x 256) into Figma, it looks too large though according to the dimensions noted in its bounding box it should be right. Then comparing the actual image size on screen with the same image in another window of another app, it actually is larger than it should be pixel for pixel. Is there any way to prevent this?

I’ve been having this issue with my Figma where the comments just float over the design. When I scroll around, they move, they aren’t attached to anything. When I click on them, they don’t open correctly. I can read them in the side panel, but I can’t see what they were attached to. I’ve contacted support about this before and they just asked me to clear my cache, which I did, and it worked for a while, but not now. I can’t submit another support request because this time the file is owned by a client. Funny enough, all my own design files are working perfectly, but this one isn’t. What do you think could be the cause/ solution?

We are creating a plugin where we want to pull color and text styles from Figma design system in libraries/assets through Figma plugin API. But none of the solutions are working. Here are the methods that i tried. I tried using fetch meta styles using Figma API. I added access token and fileId in the headers. Here is the URL format i used - ${baseUrl}/v1/files/${fileId}/styles/${styleId} I got a cors issue. So added api.figma.com in allowedDomains in manifest.json. But I am getting forbidden error message. Using the same API method, i tried fetching through teamId and components. Here is the URL format I used - ${baseUrl}/v1/teams/${teamId}/components But I am still getting forbidden error message. I tried using this method - getAvailableLibraryVariableCollectionsAsync() But I am getting this error - “Property ‘getAvailableLibraryVariableCollectionsAsync’ does not exist on type ‘PluginAPI’” I tried using this method - getVariablesInLibraryCollectionAsync() But I am getting this

Figma announced that they updated the Figma for Jira app, and one of the new features is that it provides notification when designs are changed. We had been using the previous version of that app to embed Figma prototypes into Jira tickets, but after the update, we’re having some weird issues with connecting to the Figma prototypes, but only for some users. Our Jira super-admin seems to be able to add designs and request notifications, but it looks like no one else can. This is what I see in a Jira ticket-the “Request Figma connection” button, then when I click it, I see the little popover. However, we HAVE connected the Figma for Jira app, and in fact our super-admin removed the app and re-added it, but it still isn’t working. When I click on the “Notify admin” button in the popover, I get this message: We can’t find anything in any documentation about this. Are we missing a configuration step somewhere?

I duplicated the frame and the duplicate frames have layers which I am unable to delete. Instead its goes hidden. Any suggestions?

Hello community 👋 I’m having a problem with my icons not resizing in my buttons. As you’ll see in the video, I have my icons in a component variant, and I’ve added an instance of them inside my buttons component I’ve pulled up the parameters, I can change the icon, but the size doesn’t change, it just gives a thicker result … I had read on other topics, that putting the icon in an auto-layout, before dragging in the button solve the problem, but I think I have not understood the process, because it does not work 🔗 Here is the link of the video : Can anyone help me? However, I’ve run into a situation where collaborating with an agency, which also has paid subscriptions and design seats for their internal designers, incurs additional costs. Hi! I searched for this issue in the community but couldn’t fix my problem with those articles. Is anyone having problems with the spell check? Somehow it didn’t work on my files. I already deleted the cache from my desktop app, activated and deactivated the functionality, changed languages, and nothing seems to work. I noticed that this issue began a few weeks ago, and the most recent post about spelling check issues was in 2023. Hopefully, someone can help me.

I’m trying to make a price box in a mobile design which hovers over the rest of the page, so the user can make changes to their purchase, and the priceboks will change with these changes. My problem arises when the user clicks “see details” to see the details of the purchase. This results in the pricebox growing and showing add-ons and removed items. I have created a component set, so the initial component can change into this larger version. I have placed this component in absolute position, and this works great. However, when the user clicks “see details” the full detail version grows downwards and outside the frame. How do i decide the postion of the component variant it switches to?? Thanks!

Oh, yes, I’ve tried the simple “select all” and “show all colors in the selection,” but it looks like it doesn’t work properly when your selection is huge. Any tips? Thanks!
