(fallow this documentation : link) Now Im stuck in send token from UI view to figma plugin… Theres no error but I can’t get message on plugin //code.js figma.showUI( `<iframe src="http://localhost:3000/oauth"></iframe>`, ); } ... // oauth parent.postMessage( { type: "some type", pluginId: '12341234' }, 'https://www.figma.com' ) How can I send message on iframe embeded website. or this is wrong way oauth signin??

I’ve seen the page about how to do this, but it raises a lot of questions. My high school students do not have a district or school issued email as referenced in the article. Last year, when I tried to add them, several ended up with accounts that were not designated as students and I couldn’t figure out how to change that or add them. How do I fix that if that happens again? When I asked for help, I said I specifically needed to make a video about how to do this step by step to make sure my students got walked through it and I was told there were videos already. But I can’t find those. Can anyone point me to one? Not a general “make an account” video and not one for an educator, but one specifically about how to make a STUDENT account and join a class. I also have a lot of confusion about what students can see if they join my team. I have different classes and I don’t want them to see all my boards. I also have boards that I don’t want them to mess with until it’s time for them to use

I have ghost buttons (i.e. with a transparent surface), I would like to apply a box-shadow to simulate focus-tab but nothing is shown, the only way is to assign a coloured fill. I understand that I’m basically removing opacity from the fill so applying a shadow to it is almost not logical, but this is feasible in css. I wonder is there some trick or other to way to solve this?

A project was created in a desktop application on Windows and styles for fonts were specified in it via text styles. The development is carried out on Linux, so I used the browser. but linux doesn’t support windows fonts out of the box, so Figma suggested replacing arial with ?? - a very cool font, so much so that even its name is not displayed. and it applies to all font styles. who designed this - I have a question for you - are you an idiot? because there is no way to roll back these changes, i.e. Now I have a version of the project that I have to edit manually

Hi all, I’m stuck with a problem you can hopefully help me with. I have a component that has several booleans of turning things off and on (see image). However, the component doesn’t shrink when I turn of both bottom items (text description and attachment. It does shrink when I only remove the description to the height including the attachment icon. I did try several settings and hug on the outer container doesn’t solve the problem. Any ideas?

When you “detach” a variant of a component and then transform that element into a new component, Figma preserves the component description data and the link to the documentation Is there any parameter that I can declare in the file before importing it that could cause Figma to already consider a description? I have 5397 icons that I would like to import, they all have a comment with the tags that each icon receives. I would like that when I import all the icons and turn them into components, these tags would automatically convert to a description of each component. It’s possible?

In web design, how can a designer’s own layout grid system be made visible to developers?

I find that sometimes the radius handle doesn’t appear when making a new shape. Also, even with the existing shape that I made, the radius handle sometimes does not appear in the shape so I have to type the numer one by one. Can anyone explains this?

So I’m in the trial for UI3. So far it is going well. I am able to find everything that I need to do my work and I have been both designing and maintaining the design system for two weeks. I like that the main CTA have moved to the bottom of the screen from the top left. One thing that is bothering me is I can no longer use my shortcuts to quickly create a link. On a mac CMD+ K opens the link box then CMD+ V pastes in the link I copied from elsewhere. (On Windows this would be CTRL+ K then CTRL + V) I use this functionality ALOT in handoffs. Maybe others do too? Also these shortcuts are used across many many applications such as Office 365, Google docs, sheets etc and even here in this text editor. Now CMD + K opens a component search window May I please have the CMD + K shortcut back for links? 🙏 Also can you admins please add a UI3 tag to this forum for additional UI3 feedback. Or is there another place trial users should be logging feedback? TYSM!

Hello, I have been trying to reach Figma Sales for over a week about purchasing a licence agreement at Organization level. My organization requires that purchases be made via purchase order and direct funds transfer. I have had contacted Support and had the ticket closed even though I have not been able to pursue the purchase Am I able to purchase via invoice and direct funds transfer as stated in Figma Support documentation or not?

I don’t want to see or use the variable modes on a layer any more, but they are still visible in the right panel, even after deleting all variables and collections. Is this a bug? It is driving me crazy. It is everywhere. I would need to reconstruct a lot of components, just to get rid od this

Hey Figma community, Has anyone figured out how to remove Custom Styles from their color selection? It seems as a new set is added whenever I copy and paste an existing design from Figma but this is getting really unruly.

Hi Community. I have an overlay with a scrollable area and tabs. When I click on one of the tabs after scrolling on the initial overlay to swap it with another overlay, the background screen also changes the scroll position based on where I was on the original overlay. I tried maintaining the same prefix between the background screen and the two overlays, but it didn’t work. How do I keep the background’s scroll position fixed when I scroll on and swap between overlays? Thank you!

I just got into my organization members a new person with access to the Figma that I did not invite, and after seening it I just kicked him. I like to know what was his email to identify posible attacks in the future. I can’t see any information of past members on Figma.

Hello, I’m experiencing issues with a plugin I have built and I’m asking for help to anyone having experience in building Figma plugins. We have published a plugin that expose various components defined in a dedicated Figma library. The plugin allows user to search and drop items such as buttons, input fields, icons etc… to a Figma canva. The goal is to quickly build wireframes while not attaching too much to UI. Our components use properties a lot to allow for variations, especially the instance swap feature to change icons, brand logos, user avatar, etc. We recently started to have issue with the ability to search for instances (no results) while browsing for result works well (expect awful UX with such long list to scroll). After investigating, we believe this is due to recent changes made on the way one can access external libraries. Users need to add the library to their assets in each file, and the library needs to be in their own workspace, forcing some sort of fork of the orig

Background I am developing a Local Variables Exporter/Importer Plugin. So, I am having trouble trying to set the scope of a variable in an import process. Questions Exporter for CodeSyntax: variable.codeSyntax for Scopes: variable.scopes Importer for CodeSyntax: variable.setVariableCodeSyntax() for Scopes: ??? Is there a Plugin API method for setting scopes of a variable? I could not find any members that looked like them on this page: Variable | Plugin API I would appreciate your advice. Thanks.

Even if I have the prototype settings set to “No Scrolling” I still see the scrolls section. Is that normal?
