Hi Figma Team, Hope you’re doing well. Our team has run into a bit of an issue, and we’re hoping you can help us out. It looks like our team plan somehow switched from the Free plan to the Education plan. We’re seeing messages like “Your Education plan has expired” and “This team is for Education users only. New users will be required to verify their Education status.” However, we never opted for the Education plan. The Free plan works perfectly for us, and all our accounts are just regular accounts with no ties to any education setup. Here are our main questions: How did this change happen? How can we switch our team back to the Free plan? What can we do to prevent this from happening again? Thanks a lot for your help!

I am trying to set up modes for two brands, let’s say Brand A and Brand B. I’ve designed a new header for Brand A, which will be almost identical to the header for Brand B apart from the main brand colour and logo. The two logo SVGs for each brand are set up as a component set with variants for each brand. Goal: I want to have a mode for Brand A and mode for Brand B. I’ve easily managed to swap the band colour using a colour variable. I was expecting to use a string variable to swap the logo variant like you can do with prototyping, however, within the header component I can’t set a string variable for the variant in order to swap the logo on mode change. Why is this? I know that image variables are in beta testing at the moment. I am wondering why we can’t use the already available string variable to achieve the same result.

Why my Auto layout’s panel is not the same as the picture

I was trying to pay for a plugin. And suddenly this form appeared where I can’t see any sign of secure connections or payment provider. Can I still trust this and make a secure payment?

Why doesn’t control clicking work as a right click in Figma on Macs? This is default behavior across Mac OS.

Missing Export Panel on developer’s view. They see a message saying that my file has Export functions disabled. My Figma file has been enabled to the appropriate setting for allowing users (with View Only) to Copy, Share, and Export elements. This was an option I found in the “Share” prompt window. My understanding from Figma’s documentation that users with “View” permissions SHOULD allow them to see an Export panel on the right-hand side. However, my team is getting the messaging that they cannot export anything in the Export panel. I’m dumbfounded on what else I am missing. (Note: These users, development team, already have been invited to my Figma file.) In the meanwhile, I have granted them “Edit” access to get through the obstacle. I’ve already searched for this question on the forum here and I came up with no resolution to my existing problems, despite having gone through all of my Settings and documentation on Figma. My Figma is up to date.

My designer and me both own pro licenses with Dev Mode access. I cannot toggle Dev Mode in a design he created. I somewhat understand your “teams” concept but this is totally unusable. Why should his organisation pay for my seat? I feel cheated out of my money since I bought it through the popup that opens when I try to toggle dev mode in his file. What kind of policy is this please? I either want my money back or a solution to viewing his file in dev mode even though he owns it.

When i click on “Start from scratch” Figma creates a new draft using “Light slides” template. I tried to use another account and it worked, but only once, so now I can’t use blank slides from two accounts. How it can be fixed?

I can no longer easily resize the Pages panes in the Layers Panel. Most of the time the resizing cursor won’t show up, sometimes it will. The only way I can consistently get the resizing cursor to show up is to click on a different page (then what I am working with) and then resize the Pages pane. I have a feeling a “hover” event was mucked up in one of the last few upgrades. Anyone else?

I am trying to import Figma design into Android Studio for application development. I tried to import a Figma component URL and it succeeded in importing but soon met with the following error below. Hello all, Trying to find all comments on a page using the Rest API, but there does not seem to be any filter to find comments via page/canvas, but only for the entire file. I looked at the Rest API response to see if anything (maybe client_meta answers it) but not seeing anything reliable there. Is there a simple way to: Option 1: Given a page/canvas, find all comments on it? Option 2: Given a comment, find the page it belongs to? Currently, I’m going Option 2, by using client_meta, and finding the page that element belongs to, and then linking it to the page, but that seems to be calling too many APIs. Also, is there any structure to the Node IDs? Not able to find any documentation. The IDs are of the format xxx:yyy. Thanks!

Hi! When I work, my laptop is connected to the network, but it says that I am working offline and the saves are not displayed and the Figma tabs do not open. How to fix it?

I managed to delete and write over a design file that I now need, but it was too far back in my version history to see it with the free plan, so I upgraded. But for some reason (even though I’ve restarted the program and made sure that the professional plan is active) it still won’t let me click them and it has a note underneath that says it’s only available for paying members. Anyone know how to fix this?

I have a variants or a navigations tabs. Tab left and Tab right. If tab left is active, it displays all the items on the left. If tab right is active, it displays all the items on the right. THe list that is used to display is a componect. I only changed the value of the list. Sadly On Navigation tabs switch on the Prototype end, the value will not update, the Navigation tab gets switched but the value remains the same.

Hi there folks! I’m facing some trouble with a component. We call this component “Action” and it consume another component called “Avatar”. The Action itself has 3 states: Default, Pressed and Disabled (the Avatar also has a Disabled state). Inside the action, we can customize the avatar using its variants (Icon, Monogram, Image) and when we switch the Action between Default/Pressed/Disabled state, the avatar doesn’t keep the customization. Is kinda confusing (and my english is not exactly good XD) so I recorded a video to demonstrate: I’m also sharing a file with those components. Figma file Note: The avatar structure is not the ideal, but there is a hole system and projects consuming it, so modifying this component is real hard. 😮‍💨 Hope you guys can help me on this one 😃
