When text in multiple layers is selected during multi-edit, and the font is changed, all selected text layer content also changes to the content in one of the layers.

Hi all, I have a page i’m designing with some horizontal cards placed on top of each other, some have an image on the right/text on left, and then some have image on the left/text on the right - when I resize whichever is on the right hand side - wraps to be below the element on the left - however I want the image to always remain on top, when wrapping. Is this possible? Or is the case that the left hand element will always remain on top? Hopefully this makes sense 🙂

Hi guys, I am creating a dual column autolayout for a web page, and it works exactly as expected - until the text in the objects start to meet after switching to a vertical layout via the wrap feature. From here the text overlaps rather than expanding the frames. Please see attached screen recording to understand what I mean, and I’m sure it’ll be a straightforward user error somewhere 🙂 Thanks very much for any help here 🙂

I’m trying to make this button have a circle enlarge over it to transition to the white button in the middle, then on click have it go to that grey button on the button – and then back to default when the mouse leaves the last button (which means the circle should shrink back to original. I published a file called TV App Prototype to the community 2 days ago. However, I still can’t see it on my community profile. And I tried to search it in the community page still cannot be found. I tried unpublishing and republishing it, but the issue persists. I’m not sure is that because I am in a starter plan, but the file I published contains customized videos (Not from the Figma Community). Could anyone please assist with this? Thank you very much!

Today, when I opened Figma, I found that one of the RAR-APP files I created disappeared from the recent list, and several other created files were gone.

I’ve got text selected in my layout, and am trying out various fonts using a Font Preview plugin, but I still need to see the font in context. The problem is that I only have a second to evaluate how it looks like in context. How do I hide that bounding box around the text layer, so that it doesn’t keep reappearing? In other design tools there’s usually a keyboard shortcut to toggle bounding boxes on/off, but I’m not seeing this in Figma.

I recently reinstalled Windows after upgrading my motherboard. I installed Figma and went to work on a project only to find out that my fonts weren’t being detected. I use Fontbase to sync fonts between my Mac and my Windows computer via a Google Drive folder. And it works fine with all my other software, tested in Photoshop and Illustrator. I’ve tried the following - Using Browser with Figma agent, not working. Restarting Figma, not working. Restarting computer, not working. Reinstalling Figma, not working. I have no idea what else to do and this is incredibly frustrating when I have deadlines approaching quickly. I need a fix ASAP.

Does anyone know what’s causing the components to be nested like this? I need to open 2 things just to access a component for almost every asset listed.

Hi everyone, Is it possible to change to a variant using an overlay? I want to reproduce what is happening below, using a variant instead of a page. The problem is that it seems impossible to link anything from the overlay to the variants. This is the result I want: When I click on a color it opens an overlay Then I pick a color and it changes the jersey to another variant. This should be the result with a variant. (It is a new page on this example) The problem I encounter is when I open the overlay with Default Variant, in the overlay, I want to select a color that would trigger the change of Variant. But Figma doesn’t allow me to make that link. Is there any way to make it work?

Hi, We are a Upsc coaching institute in India. We are looking to develop an app to help students grasp current affairs that are relevant to UPSC. We want that app to not only deliver current affairs from our website, but also fetch important information from various top news sites in India filtered by keywords. We have talked to various local app developers (both agencies and freelancers), but could not find someone who can confidently add this functionality to the app. One more functionally that we want in our app is “Filter current affairs by date” just like on our current affairs page ( https://compass.rauias.com/current-affairs-upsc/ ). This feature helps students go through current news by date helping them keep track. So, if anyone has done it in past, we would love to discuss how it can be done or anyone having the code to integrate these features? Looking for solution ASAP.

Hi, I need urgent help before I go crazy. Can anyone know how to prototype a button so that when the mouse is hovered over, the whole frame moves a couple of pixels in a different direction? I have tried every solution on the web however none of them worked for me. The screenshot below shows more or less what I mean. I would be very grateful for help!

I have read the YouTube tutorial and still cannot find my answer. My goal is to set up two languages in variables: English and Chinese. I have set up an English font with the weight " Regular " and the Chinese font did not contain " Regular ", so I had to manually detach it and choose another font-weight. What is the best way to make one set of English and one set of Chinese, and then easily switch to another language?

I’ve had this problem now going on for over a month now. I’ve cleared my cache on the browser and I don’t have the desktop app. When I open up the memory manager in the Figma browser app it says 4%. At this point the file doesn’t even seem to open. This seems to be an ongoing problem with Figma. What is the solution for this?
