I can’t use the font and someone else from the team can’t also view it. The font automatically changes to Figma’s default font on their end. Hope someone can help, thanks!

So just when switching over to prototype from design, I see a bunch of connections I have already made between elements, but there are a large number not showing up as well. However when I click an element (that I have already applied an interaction to) it will then show its connection, and all the other connections on the workspace will vanish (reverting back when unclicked). I have looked all over (or am maybe just wording this poorly) as to why this is going on or why all connections are not visible at once. In the past, all connections were visible at once, having only a few of them show up makes double checking whether or not I made a connection very tedious. Thanks for any help! <3

Hello, I need to create a few video prototypes of a mobile app based on Figma designs. The prototypes would include 3-4 screens. Then I want to to export the videos as SVG animations or Lottie files. Here is a reference to give you an idea: Spend Management, Corporate Cards & Accounts Payable Solutions | Ramp I’m considering to import the designs to LottieLab and create the prototypes in there. I’ve only used LottieLab for short animations and I wonder if it’s the right tool for the task. If not, do you have any recommendations? Thanks!

Greetings all. I noticed since yesterday that when I double-click on layer to rename it, it puts the cursor at the end of the layer name. This used to work differently before, as double-clicking would result in the whole layer name selected, and I can easily rename the layer. Now I have to be careful to check that the cursor is not at the end of the layer name. I tested it a few times, it seems to work on and off (whole layer name selected VS cursor at the end of layer name). This sounds related to another thread, but this is not about using CMD + R to rename as i don’t have a habit of doing that: Selecting name of a Layer in a Layers Panel

I’m wondering how to bake and/or breakdown community components. For example I’ll bring a Shopify component into a project. The component seems to be constructed with variables, nested components, and styles that may come from other projects, or master projects. How can I bake these components into my project so that I can modify the content, styles, etc, without breaking the component? Is there some kind of best practice? Maybe there is a plugin that does this?

I have been experiencing an issue lately that I have never had before. I have 2 files within the same team project, one used for components and one with the main designs. Sometimes, I like to create components in the design file and then move them to the component file once they have been approved. However, lately, when I cut and paste them into the component file, then publish them, the instances in my designs disconnect, and when I click on the instance it says “restore component”. I know to avoid this, I can publish the design file and then move the components, but I swear I have never had to do this in the past. Was this an update? Is it a bug?

How can I check the changes made by someone in my design file? Bs is not working .

I have trouble filling in the text. I have tried many solutions but none of them worked. When I look at the Figma, I can see that the text is on the left panel but is empty. Sorry for my english. I have raster image inside Figma. By default “Copy to PNG” create x2 size image. If i check option Export - PNG - x1, created png will be size 1x, BUT. If i need export 2 layers - image+text layer - Figma ignores export option 1x and copy to buffer x2 image. Copy only text - size x1. Only image - size x1. Export both - size x2. If i select both objects and make Merge (Ctr+E) - size x1. Editable text layer+image - size x2. It is possible to enable x1 size for all objects, exported by “Copy to PNG” ?

Hi, fellows! While finished a project I have accidentally taped the mode “Prototype” on inappropriate page e.g. UI-Kit. Does anybody know how to turn off that? Unfortunally, I can’t find any button or plugin to remove the prototype mode from page. That thing can mislead colleagues I suppose so I ask to help me, please 🙏

Hello, i’ve been working in a Draft file for the past few days. I kept the browser tab open the whole time since supposedly Figma auto-saves. However, when I was done with my work I went out of my project to view something in the Figma Community page. When I returned to my files page I noticed the thumbnail for the Draft file I was just working on was blank. Then when I clicked on the file, to my horror, everything was blank inside there too as if I had done no work. Even when I go through the version history everything is blank. Please tell me my work is floating around somewhere and can be restored. I wouldn’t even know where to begin if I had to redo it. Please Help!!

In comment when tagging someone, an old memeber who does not have access to file or Figma space keeps showing up. I would like to NOT see this name but cannot find any way how not to. Does anyone have solve this kind of problem?

Hi. I developed a plugin myself. I try to scan all the nodes in the page in design mode: const nodes = selection?.findAll?.() ?? [] The plugin will crash when it I want to get further information about the invisible nodes and the error log is: xxx : The node (instance sublayer or table cell) with id "xxx" does not exist. It seems that the Figma plugin can scan the invisible nodes, but when I want to get some detail information about the nodes, the plugin can’t find them. It works successfully when I restart the plugin or in dev mode(I set skipInvisibleInstanceChildren to false). However, when I reopened the Figma file, it failed again in design mode. I tried this but it also failed: figma.loadAllpagesAsync()

Is it because of that I am non IT background person.I personally find it so difficult to process variable all the condition this and that.

Do you receive the notification that components were updated in a library, after publishing the library? Example: I publish library A. After a few minutes, I receive a notification inside library A saying some components were updated. It seems a case of inception but we get super confused with this.

Managing a design library file. When I add/edit components within, I usually see the little blue dot over the library icon which tells me it recognized that I’ve made changes to publish. I’m no longer seeing that. Which also means I can’t update files upstream that use the library.

This is a super basic question but I can’t seem to crack it. I decided to make my own checkbox because the one I was using in the community wasn’t working for what I need (basically wanted to create master component but it kept getting kicked out because it’s a widget not a component instance). I created my 2 variants (on, off) following a tutorial I found on youtube, and when I went to test it, nothing happened which was unexpected. I’ve searched high and low and reworked it 20 different times and I can’t figure out why my checkbox won’t change on click. Figma – 18 Aug 24

Hey guys, Has the CONTENT title in the selection box always been there? Am I nuts? All of a sudden I find it so distracting. Not saying it’s not useful, but the execution stinks. I’m pretty sure it’s a new thing, I remember I used to see the names of my frames 🙂
