line doesnt align to the object which's stroke is centred

Thanks for the post! If my understanding is correct, the alignment works to the edge of the rectangle. So, if you set the stroke to be inside the rectangle, it should align with the line. However, if I find that my information is incorrect, I will get back to you with the correct details.
