I cleaned up my folders and teams and left out from 2 teams. As a result, I lost 2 files I created recently. More likely I created them by mistake, not in my drafts, but in one of the teams. I found one of those files because i shared the link before. But this file is not mine currently. But the second file is more important. Can I somehow restore these files in my account?

Hi there, since last week I got the alert, that there are fonts missing. Although it worked perfectly fine before. I checked the installed fonts on my Mac, even deleted and reinstalled them in my font book several times and restarted my Mac and Figma. Do you have an idea to solve this? It is really troublesome, because I have an upcoming presentation and can’t work properly like this… Thanks in advance for any help!

Adobe Museo Sans (not display) is coming out with different weights. on the Styles it says 900 but Dev mode says 700. I’ve checked with our Devs and it looks like we have to manually change the fonts but im still unsure why even in Figma it is labeled incorrectly. Our Devs also ran in to a bug where it can name the font weight to 600. This might be a optimisation thing tho so that might be our issue more than anything. Still tho, why would Figma/Dev mode label it differently? I Download the Font officially from Adobe and the below is correct.

Hi there! I was very excited about the ‘variables’ announcement, and was hoping that it could simplify the prototypes I’m working on. However, I hit a wall almost immediately, and I’m not sure if it’s because I don’t understand how the feature is meant to work, or if it’s because of a known limitation. I want to create a ‘switch’ that changes a visual element across multiple screens. For instance, a menu that lets the user change ‘modes’ from ‘online’ to ‘offline’. In my (very limited) programming experience, I would expect to be able to accomplish this by setting a boolean called ‘online’ to TRUE, and then tell each component that if ‘online’=TRUE then display the ‘online’ variant. However, it does not seem to be possible to display a specific variant based on a boolean state. The closest I’ve come to making this work is to set a string variable to ‘online’, which changes the variant, but it only does so in one page. If I go to the next page, the ‘state’ is not remembered. I have tried all the mentioned resolutions in the community for similar issue. Still doesn’t work for me. Auto-layout works for main component but doesn’t work for instances. Scenario: I have a two rectangles, each of them are components indivdually. When I club them and use vertical auto-layout and make this a component, then use an instance of this and try to copy and paste the rectangle, it doesn’t add up to the stack, it just appears on one of the rectangle and comes up as a separate component. Expectation is for it to add up below the two rectangles. Here are some screenshots: Please help, its breaking all components in the design system. I’m developing a Figma plugin that pastes frames onto the canvas using the Plugin API. The frames are structured in JSON format and include nested auto-layout frames with text layers inside them. These text layers are set to “hug” content with specified max-height and max-width properties. When pasting the frames, all elements are translated and positioned correctly. The text layers are nested within the auto-layout frames and have the layout value set to “hug.” However, the max-width and max-height properties are not being applied as expected. The Figma app console displays the following error: “Error applying maxHeight: Error: in set_maxHeight: Can only set maxHeight on auto layout nodes and their children.” Has anyone else encountered similar issues or found a solution to this? Could this be a bug or a limitation within the Plugin API?

Hi, I was wondering if I publish a website design and I’m sharing the prototype, how can I make it possible to be window fitting to all different laptop sizes of a client for example? So it feels like you’re in a direct website being full screen, for example as a Readymag. Does somebody know? Thank you!

so i have a company email which i created Figma with it i am not in a designer team. i use it for my thesis i had to use company laptop so i can do thesis while at work. now i just resigned from my current company they have already deleted the account and i forgot to backup. is there anyway i can acces my thesis again? cus i ask my ex company cto he cant do nothing about it as the email already been deleted from their google workspace

Two questions about Figma Slides: Is it possible to import Figma Design Library? If yes how? Is it possible to create/edit/delete colour styles? I’m unable to delete any of the custom styles even if I have no elements in this colour anymore?

I am a user who has been using Figma for 4 years. I come from Hong Kong and shared my first resource on the community 3 months ago. I want to sell my files and plugins in the community, but I couldn’t find the price option on the ‘Publish Files’ page. I hope this problem can be resolved. I love sharing because it can make the community active and spread knowledge to help everyone. I also respect intellectual property rights, so I hope to sell original and unique design files to the community, so that people can see their value, respect design creation, and enhance my motivation to share. If permission can be granted, I am willing to become a community seller. If you can contact me to grant permission, I will increase the number of shared files and recommend Figma to more. I have been experiencing some challenges with the recent updates to the FigJam Connectors within Figma.  Previously, I was able to select connection points on a frame, such as top, bottom, left, or right.  However, the recent update has altered the UI, making the connection points smaller and removing the ability to manually select them. Now, the system automatically assigns the connection points, and users cannot manually choose their preferred points.  This change has significantly disrupted my workflow as all my Figma projects rely heavily on the FigJam Connectors. I kindly request that you consider reverting this feature to its previous functionality to maintain usability and efficiency in our design processes.

If I update the original main component after setting a prototype for a component, all the animations etc. set in the prototype will disappear. Could you please tell me the solution? Example: Let’s say I was creating a modal component. Let’s say I have a complicated setting where when I tap a button, a message saying “Sending completed” appears, and then I return to the top screen. Then I resized and updated the buttons in the main component of the modal. Then all the settings I had made up to that point are gone and I have to start over again.

The rules are essentially unusable, they don’t measure or snap to anything.

My branding instructions for my small non-profit project are to use the old interface. It’s very important to me to get it back. We’ll be moving to the new design later, but it takes time. I tried to find it “back to old” on Ctrl+K, but it doesn’t work too

I have looked and search everywhere and haven’t found the answer yet… I’m new to Figma and I’m still learning my way around it. therefore I have been following a lot of tutorial and every single one have a different setup in their design workspace compared to mine. How do I change it, so I have the same setup? (mine is the white)

I’ve got a library file that I’m pulling components from for the rest of my design files. Recently when I update components on that file and publish the library, the instances on the other files don’t update. Moreover, when I copy & paste the new version of the components into the design files, Figma suggest to update them to the old version of the component 😵 What’s happening?

After installing window 11 there are these flashes in the desktop app of Figma. With time they can calm down, but then they can start again. In the browser everything works fine. Also no flashes when Figma is open on any of the other connected monitors. And when there is a recording of the screen - also no flashes. What could be the problem? All possible drivers are updated. All other applications work correctly, the problem is only with the desktop Figma. Reinstalling Figma doesn’t help

Even if I set a prototype on a component, the settings disappear when I edit the original main component. How do I resolve this issue? Or is it a bug in Figma? It would be helpful if you could tell me. Example: If I tap a button on a dialog component, a toast message saying “Sending completed” will appear, and then the screen will return to the list screen. Suppose I then go to the main component of the dialog, change the size of the button, and update it. Then, all the settings I had set earlier, such as the toast settings and the transition to the list screen, disappeared and I had to start over.

I’m creating a large prototype that involves a collapsable side bar nav. The side bar nav is pretty straight forward and expands when mouse enters, and when mouse leaves. I’ve made the nav bar a component with clickable menu items inside. These clickable items in the nav bar are components with hover effects. All nav menu items work except 1, for some reason when clicked, just the hover state stays in effect and the ‘Navigate to’ doesn’t register. Here is what that menu item looks like in the layers panel: Not sure what else to do as I’ve changed the component name multiple times, deleted the interaction and re applied over and over again. All other menu items work except for this one. Is this a bug? Do I have too many screens prototyped? Not sure what else to do.
