How Do Resources Become Trending/Featured?

I’m developing, and marketing, a plugin and was wondering whether anybody knows how Figma choses which plugins are trending or how certain resources are picked to become featured. Does anybody have any data or resources that could help gain us some insights on the “community algorithm” ?
