I would like to share my Figma file as my design portfolio with recruiters. I don’t know how to get a link that doesn’t require Figma login.

Figma prototype link is not loading properly in my Redmi 14 Civi device. Most of the layers are not visible in the prototype. But it is working in desktop. It was working properly in my old device (Redmi note 9 pro). Can someone suggest a solution for this?

Hi, My plugin handles live updates when a Style changes, thanks to StyleCreateChange | StyleDeleteChange | StylePropertyChange events. I’m currently working with Variables and have noticed that there’s no way to achieve a similar behavior due to the lack of Variable events. Is this something that will exist in the near future? Hey Figma People! Does anyone know of a plugin that can search my entire Figma file and find & replace variables? I have tried a few shared in this forum and they don’t have the functionality I’m looking for. The use case is this - I have a button that uses “Button/Accent/Secondary/Pressed” as the fill, I want to find all components that have this value and replace it with the “/Hover” variant instead. Advice/Help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi everyone, I’m trying to figure out how to use Figma variables from a design system in a project file. For example, I have a checkbox component with a boolean variable to toggle between selected and unselected states, and a textbox component with variables for enabled or disabled states. In the project file, I have an unselected checkbox that disables the textbox below it. When the checkbox is selected, the textbox should become enabled. However, I’m having trouble accessing the textbox’s status variable when interacting with the checkbox. What’s the best way to set up this interaction? Thanks!

Long story short - developers cannot see in Dev Mode whenever an element has a static/fixed/sticky position set. It’s not listed anywhere on the right-side panel or in the layers panel. Even fixed layers are merged into a single group. It’s quite lame that I have to check if some properties are marked in the Dev Mode (paid) and eventually fill the gaps with comments.

I can’t copy images from Google Slides into Figma. I didn’t find any solved issue like this.

Hi! I was hoping to find a way to extract a list or a view of components I use withing a bigger component. We’re working in atomic design so organisms such as headers or footers are made out of smaller components. Is there any way, or perhaps is there a plug-in, that will help me extract info about what components are used within a particular organism? Thank you!

I’m trying to set up a button so that it changes from a disabled to an active state when a certain condition is met. The condition is that at least two components (cards) need to be selected. Currently, I’ve created two string variables: merge-button-state (with a default value of inactive) and card-state (with a default value of default). On each card, I’ve set an “on click” action to set card-state to “selected”, followed by the condition: if card-state == "selected" set merge-button-state to "active" This works if I select just one card, but I want the button to become active only when at least two cards are selected. I’ve also tried creating a variable for each card component, like card1-state and card2-state, but since it’s the same component, this approach doesn’t work. Any idea how to achieve that?!

How to export gif files in Figma wiithout any white border?

I am currently creating a design system with some components and text styles for use in different projects. I created some text styles (xxl, xl etc.) and was wondering if its possible to import these styles into a new file but make changes (change font) without changing the “master” definition. These changes would have to apply to components containing these text styles. The only way i see currently is creating a design system file, which is going to be duplicated every project start, and ditch the whole library.

Just today noticed that all fonts on 50+ components changed to a singular one. Everything else on the document is okay, just this group of components and its variants were somehow triggered. Did this happen because of the multi-edit (useless) tool? Thankfully now it took only about 20 minutes to go through and reset fonts to what they’ve previously been. I cannot imagine how angry I would’ve been if the whole document would’ve been affected.

I am reaching out to inquire about a change I noticed in the Figma API. Previously, when using the API endpoint https://www.figma.com/api/file_metadata/:key, the response included a canvas_url field, which allowed access to important project data. However, it seems that this field is no longer present in the API response. Could you please clarify why this change was made? Additionally, is there any alternative method to retrieve the same data that was previously accessible through canvas_url? I would greatly appreciate any information or guidance on this matter. This is wasting time of so many people and the only way to get this “feature” right is to write a plugin!

I am creating a prototype for a website with a sticky header and a fixed footer that allows a user to scroll the content. I have created a “viewport” which is a standard window size and added 3 top level frames (one for the header, one for the footer, and one for the content). I set the header to sticky, the footer to fixed, and the content to scroll with parent (the parent is the viewport frame which is set to no scrolling). It all works well when I scroll “down” the page. However, when I scroll back “up” the content continues scrolling and I am able to see the frame at the top. Does anyone know how to fix this? To debug, I have tried turning auto layout on and off in the content frame, but this has not helped.

I am trying to do a tab prototype (2 tabs that are in the middle of the page) in desktop, but when i click between the 2 frames, the “content” (tab + the content underneath it) jump up and down between the pages.
