How to solve the problem of exporting svg fonts in Figma. I exported the font in svg format but the font was cut off in certain parts when I imported it into another editing software.

Hi, I wanted to find out what the cost of a Figma Enterprise license would be. Let’s say we had an Enterprise license and there were 5 organizations attached, each with 2 editors. What would be the monthly cost? My assumption is: 1x $75 for the Enterprise license 5x $45 for the organizations 10 x $15 for the editors That would be $450 per month Is that correct? Thanks

Hi, does anyone know if it is possible to import a component library and then create new variable colors and set those new colors as the default color to the components from the library. Just to save time, so I dont have to change each elements color to fit my clients need

Hi, if the user of my plugin uploads the .ttf file, is there a way to load that font for the plugin ? I think i read something like that somewhere but i can’t find the information back, and the doc only mention about passing fontName as an argument. Thanks in advance.

I have a Figma student account linked to my personal Google account, which I’ve been using since 2021. Every time I renewed the account, there were no issues. However, for this renewal, it states that I can only use my school email. While I could switch to my school email, the problem is that I have a few hundred files on my Google Figma account that I want to keep. Additionally, I want all my files to remain on my personal Google account so that I can retain access to them after my academic career is over. I think my school email will be removed when I graduate. Is there any possible way to keep my Google account as a student account?

I’ve been working on precision drawings recently and noticed an issue with the Ellipse tool not drawing perfect circles. I first realized this when I imported an SVG of a precise circle created using an elliptical arc. To confirm which circle was accurate, I drew the same circle in GeoGebra, verifying that the Ellipse tool did not produce precise circles. I’m creating email templates in Figma with various email modules for my design team to use. One of the templates is a 2 Column Product Grid and another is 1 Column Product List Left Aligned, Right Aligned, Alternating Variations. My first instinct was to create a main component for the Email module and then variants for the other template options but I’m not sure if that’s the right way to approach this. Does anyone have any advice?

Hello. I’ve had this problem 20 times in the last 3 months. I’m entering comments. It opens to the entire page full screen, and not the screen with the comment — why? Then to zoom, it create a bounding box instead of zooming. I only drag zoom. Then as I type a message, still zoomed out a few steps too much. I try and zoom more and it closes the Comment modal. Please trap the edit of comments so that clicking outside the modal doesn’t close with out a confirmation. It’s classic UI design best practices. Please…… 🙂 Again, I’ve lost 20 messages some that we really long.

I have been using Figma (editing, creating, etc.) for about a year. Suddenly, as of yesterday, I see only a limited number of options and a “Request to edit” button at the top of my screen. Clicking it has done nothing, as I am the owner/primary user. I believe some other users may also have edit access but I am the PRIMARY owner…how can this permission be removed?! I did nothing at my side to change this. Is it a bug? Do I need to clear my browser cache or something?

When wanting to duplicate an item and keep it in line with the previous item, I use shift + option + drag. This has worked for years in Figma and in adobe… now this has stopped working and it’s a nightmare for workflow. I’m using an M1 mac, just updated to latest OS and a wacom tablet and extra mac keyboard. This is driving me mad. the shortcuts work on neither of my 2 keyboards! OK I just worked out that when I’m not using the wacom, the shortcuts work, so it’s probably a wacom driver issue… now gotta work out how to load up an older driver…

How can I hide a slide in a presentation deck? Other features on Figma can be easily hidden just by clicking on the eye icon to close it. I couldn’t find how to do this to a slide. On Google Slides this is done by clicking with the right button on the slide. A menu pops up. Then click on “Skip Slide”. The slide turns pale and it is not exhibited in the presentation. Does anyone know how to do it? Thanks!

Hi everyone! Is there such a thing as a stroke style in Figma? I’ve encountered an issue with variants: when I modify the text in a variant, it doesn’t inherit subsequent changes made to the original component, like stroke settings. It seems that instances work better if I want all copies to automatically inherit changes from the component, including strokes. However, I need different variants for my table, such as left-aligned and right-aligned text. I’m trying to find the optimal solution so I don’t have to update each variant separately if I change the stroke. I’m now considering whether it’s better to create multiple variants or use instances instead. Does anyone have suggestions on how to handle this efficiently?

I have a small help component with two variants: expanded and collapsed. It’s designed to sit at the bottom of a left nav. It starts out collapsed, and if the user clicks it, it will toggle open. Click again and it closes. It works fine by itself. I have a left nav component with variants for open and hover and closed. The left nav contains all the nav menu items plus the help component at the bottom. While testing, the left nav closes and opens just fine, and while open, the help component opens and closes just fine… HOWEVER After the help component is opened and closed, the hover state of the parent left nav component remembers the opened state of the help component! This is driving me crazy. Any clues? Thanks, Jeff

I’ve looked everywhere, and it doesn’t seem like there is a way to have an auto layout with text expand on the left side, rather than the right side. This seems like a very basic functionality, so I’m kind of surprised. Is this not possible? In my use case, I just have text with a background. I want the background to expand to the left with the text when it changes, not the right side. Any ideas? Thanks!

I have the following multi-tier library setup: a foundations file containing all the tokens (variables & styles) a global library containing all the component, with the variables from the foundations file applied branded library files containing the components from the global library, but with the theme applied for each brand Since yesterday, when I call a global component from the Assets, I cannot open the variable modes in the branded library files. I can access it in the global and foundations files and I also can access it if I apply a variable in the branded file, but it won’t show on components from the global file when added to the branded file. I don’t know if this is related, but my devs cannot see the applied variables in the branded file.
