Hi - My startup has somebody that built design files in Figma for our devs that has years of experience as a Creative Director, but she isn’t a UI designer at all, and therefore has limited experience building something in Figma. Our engineers are really struggling to use the Figma files into building responsive front-end code. Specifically, that’s because our Figma isn’t response. I’d love any advice or suggestions you might have on how we could find a Figma expert or something similar to help transition what we’ve built so far into a responsive design system that we could continue to build on.

What happens if I invite a pro user to edit a file as a pro user. Do I get charged for it?

Hello Figma experts, I am trying to copy-paste an image from Google Docs into Figma, and having no luck. It is possible to do this with Jamboard, Miro, and Lucid. Is it possible with Figma?

As title states, restored an old version (was just 10 minutes before, made a mistake and needed to reverse it), but once I restored it, it went to view only. Looked on the forums and everything said to click the “done” button if I wanted to edit it again, however, no “done” button shows up anywhere for me. Any help would be appreciated, even if there’s a way to copy the restored version and put it in a new file that I can edit.

Hi there, We have a mask rectangle in a Figma file that is masking an image. However, when we fetch the node through the Plugin API, the isMask property returns false. When we create a mask from scratch, it works as expected. But in this case, the property seems to return an incorrect value. Are we missing something, or could this be a bug? Thanks!

I am looking for the best was to swap icons in a design system library with icons from another library. basically I have a design system library with icons but I want to replace all those icons with newer icon set. The swap library only matched the same ones but the new icon library I have has many more new icons that are not in the original library. Thought? Plug-ins?

I have an image with a logo on it and a transparent background. I want to cut out the shape of the logo on a black square. I’m able to use boolean to do that with the text, but when i do it with the image it cuts out a whole square. Is it possible to cut out just the shape of the logo? (I want to see through the black square in the shape of the logo i have)

I created a mobile menu with an accordion but when I expand it I’m unable to scroll down through the menu on my cell phone in safari. The frame is in auto layout as well but even when the accordion drop down is closed the frame won’t scroll down. All other auto layour accordion menus work on the phone except for frames of this size. The menu appears cut off but I can scroll through the other pages which are longer frames. Is this a safari issue? I just find it strange that the other work with their sizing. I appreciate all the help everyone has given me on here and I apologize for so many questions lately! There is this Help article (https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039481134-Transfer-ownership-of-a-team), but it only covers the scenario when the original owner has access. But how can admins take ownership of a team or give it to an existing user when the original owner is no longer part of the organisation (account removed) and teams show no owner at all? There is no “Owner” to select from member access settings, even for admins.

I’m wondering if anyone has a file that shows the correct way to set up / organize typography primitives / styles for both desktop and mobile and how styles and variables work together. I’ve had a look in the community and not finding anything robust. Thanks!

Hello, I’ve been teaching a UX/UI course at the University of Pennsylvania for the past few years, a critical part of which is teaching students how to use Figma for all aspects of the product design process. The rollout of UI3 has been presenting a host of issues in this new semester. I still do not have the new UI available in my account. As an instructor, this means I cannot use it myself to properly update my materials and help students troubleshoot its usage. Half of my students are able to revert to the old UI, but all students who have newly created accounts are unable to do so. This effectively means half of my students are using the new UI, and half are not. All of our materials and tutorials are based on the old UI, and already this is presenting a lot of confusion. Is there a way to prioritize the rollout of the new UI to my account, so that I can effectively teach my students? I’m concerned that these issues will only compound as we continue to learn more complex function

When opening an overlay that is a side sheet on a Desktop prototype there is no way to define this overlay to fit the 100% vertical space. This is very important since the overlay has a sticky bar that should be always visible but on some low-resolution laptops this is not he case. There is no way I can design this in a flexible manner so the high-resolution and low-resolution desktop devices can have an optimal view of the design.

I am trying to get my whole design team using Figma for as many assets as possible. Sometimes we still get requests to make interactive PDFs (think internal HR benefits doc) to be attached to an email. I just need some text (and some graphics) to link out to external sites when clicked. The solutions I have seen posted so far are to not use a PDF and just use a prototype (this will not work for us, for now we still need PDF) or to make a link with text and put it over the graphics with 0% opacity (this makes for a messy, less collaborative file). Is it possible to get what I am looking for or is it a possibility for future Figma releases? I know we are asking a lot of this program…I just love it so much I want to ditch other tools. Thanks!

Hello, I have been working on follows pages for a couple of weeks but I have never been able to switch text colors or fonts. the colours and fonts options are available but when I try to select them nothing changes. Any ideas on how I can solve this problem? Kind regards, Astrid
