I have developed a modular design for playing cards (text fields, graphic elements) - would it be possible to use a questionnaire to ask my customers about the content (texts / descriptions; information on categories that are mapped with the graphic elements), which are then used to design new playing cards? How does this work with Figma? Thank you very much for any advice! 🙂

Hey! I have 2 variants of a component, one with a black background and the other with a white background. I want my component to switch background when clicked. I create a variable Boolean (called ‘Pressed’) and set it to false. I then add an interraction to my component: On Drag → If Else → if ‘Pressed’ is False → Change to → and it crash. i tried on different instances, it keep crashing. I’m fairly new to Figma, did i do something wrong? Or did i find a bug?

When a user without edit rights and DevMode selects a frame defined by a token (variable), and that token is defined by a lower-level token—not by any raw value—is it possible to show that middle variable name instead of the raw value?

Hi, I’ve duplicated the MUI Appfarm kit to my own and made some changes for internal use, I’ve noticed that when I use the select in my prototypes and if you click the select it shows three menu items. Seems like this is added with react code on the component, the code is visible if you change to dev mode in Figma but not editable. Is it possible to remove this code to not have the default values show or maybe create a component property out of them so that it is easy to change the values in the side menu in Figma?

Couple a days ago I bought MacBook, before I used Windows computers. So in my old computer I still have Paste to replace in menu, also my colleague doesn’t have this problem. It’s uncomfortable for me to use shortcut for that and it doesn’t work so I would like to know what should I do

When layers created in design mode are switched to developer mode, the order of the layers is reversed. I am using Anima to export HTML, but the HTML is exported in reverse. There is no problem when displaying it on the web page, but the fact that it is reversed will make future corrections difficult. Does anyone know the solution to this? Hey everyone. Im trying to create a home page for my site that as I scroll, the interactive components will expand out. This is the website I’m basing it on, https://www.williamlachance.com/ I’m not sure if this is possible because in the interactions, there’s no option to like change something on scroll. I tried have an empty rectangle span the screen that would set a variable to true and then have my component do an if statement that would activate changeTo if the variable was true. I couldn’t get that to work though

Hi Community, Apologies in advance if this is a stupid question. Our project team has various instances of Figma, and the desktop software layout differs between users on a Mac vs. a PC. Also, some settings are in different locations. This has become an issue when sharing files and in training. Does anyone else have this issue? Do you know a solution, please? Thanks.

Hi everyone, I’m an educator in a UX program at an academic college, (where I was also a student). I’ve been using Figma’s Education plan for a while now, and my plan is set to expire in 10 days. When I tried to renew it, I was prompted to sign up with my academic email. Here’s the thing: both our program head and I, as a student and now as an educator, have always used our personal emails for the Figma Education plan. This was done to ensure we could continue working on projects after finishing school. Now, I’m facing issues with renewing because of this switch to academic email registration. Has anyone else faced this issue or knows how I can resolve it while still using my personal email? Thanks for your help!

I logged in into Figma with an old account and tried to switch the UI to the new update. It seems the only changes that happened was the toolbar. Property panels and Layers panel seem unchanged, does anyone know if it could be a bug?

Looking to install Figma on work laptops but it needs to work behind a proxy

I understand that color is not part of the text style definition in Figma, but is there a plugin that associates colors with text styles? None of the supposed advantages of omitting color from the type style spec apply to our workgroup. We have an established design system that we work with. It uses nine colors. There is virtually no tweaking of the text styles and there are no styles that exist simply because the color is different from another style. But now, what was a one-step process (apply the style) is a two-step-process (apply the style and then the color), and we have to worry about remembering what colors go with what styles and whether people across the team are applying them consistently, or remembering to apply the color at all. Including the color in the style def should at least be an option.

I have submitted a ticket, but am posting here for further communication. Our enterprise is not receiving emails from Figma. This includes new user verification, comment notifications, additions to files, etc. We have checked spam, junk, and quarantine and are not seeing anything. I am posting here because without email, I have no other way to communicate with Figma. Even when I submitted the ticket, I did not receive any confirmation email. If someone could please assist here, I would appreciate it. Thank you!

We have two themes dark and light. However, for me I am getting the dark theme as light theme and the light theme is missing just for me. My colleague is not facing this issue, his file is working fine. I have the latest version of Figma, I updated after the issue. I restarted my system as well.

I’ve renamed my collections - and after I publish the library with variables and accept the updates in my component library, the collection names are not being updated in the side panel. 😦

I set up a group of components as follows: An icon component, which is given an icon type and different sizes (the line thicknesses change according to each size). A list item component (and others) that receive this icon component. A card or more complex elements that receive this list item. In this last component (3), the icon type must change depending on the list item, but in the list item component (2) there is only one generic icon (1), to assemble the structure. My problem is: When, for whatever reason, I want to change the size variant of the icon component (1) within the list item component (2), the card component (3) loses all its overrides! I made a video to illustrate it better but I Figma won’t let me upload it. Does anyone knows how to solve it?

I couldn’t find any topics addressing this issue, so I’m reaching out for help. I’ve set up my variables in the shadow properties but they aren’t working with the auto-switcher light/dark mode. Has anyone else experienced this problem or know how to resolve it?
