Hi everyone, I’m facing a challenging issue related to our app’s user account creation process, and I’m hoping to get some advice from this community. Our app allows users to create an account in three ways: In-App Signup: Users download the app, complete the signup flow, and their data is populated into a PDF template with dynamic form fields (set up in Adobe Acrobat) and sent to a government regulatory body. Soft Copy Download: Users can download the same PDF template from our website, fill it out using Adobe Reader or similar, and email it to us for passing on to the regulatory body Print and Mail: Users can download, print, manually fill in the form, and mail it to our office, which we forward to the regulatory body. Hello y’all, I am working in updating/customising a rather complex library we have internally, usual procedure for a project: 400 variables, 1800 components, etc We’ve recently phased out styles mostly everywhere and introduced variable usage. Now as I work on it for the first time, mostly updating color variables and it’s usage on components, I’m constantly experiencing lag and “unsaved changes”. My team is experiencing the same but have dismissed it as being what it is… Is there a way to mitigate this? Anyone else running in to something similar? Or with a similar library size who is fairing a bit better? Slowly losing my mind a bit… I’am running: desktop app in a i7 2017 mbp on macOS 13.6.9

We copied bunch of variables and components to a new file and make it as our base file. I know Figma prompts us to copy over unpublished variables to the new file: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/15343107263511-Apply-variables-to-designs#h_01HQKMTQVD3249HHA4ER3TGHT0 But unfortunately i missed the notification to copy over the unpublished variables. Now this is what happening: There are bunch of ghost variables that are not existing on my Variables Table and yet still attached to components: Like the component-colors / form / and all the stuff under it. I dont want to fireup the Detach Deleted Variables and redo things manually as there could be hundreds of variables involved, our component library is pretty big. Do we have a console command that we can just fire up and recreate this?

Haven’t empirically measured this - but after like 20-30 minutes of using Figma Slides, interactions get so slow. From the cursor recognizing what it’s hovering over, to changing properties, moving elements around. it gets fucked.

Hi, I’m creating an integration with Figma using Figma’s REST API. In some cases I get an error with code ECONNREFUSED. I would like to understand why I get this error. There is no reference to it in the API documentation. It happens using this endpoint: https://www.figma.com/developers/api#get-images-endpoint

When I open the assets panel with ⇧ + i [and select an asset], the panel often does not close when I click outside of it, sometimes it needs multiple clicks, sometimes it does not close at all until I click “somewhere special” like outside of any frame (?). It is super annoying. Is it just me?

Why can’t I edit my Figma files in mobile app

The problem is when I hover to btn and then remove the cursor from btn the hover effect remains on the btn and does not disappear( How to solve it who knows?

Hello, I have a problem for a while now with both my personal account and my pro account, when it comes to update Figma, whenever I open Figma I get this modal with an “Update available” and when I press “Install now” Figma quit for a few seconds before opening with the exact same modal. I’d do it a few times, get tired of it and then press “Install on next launch”

Should I design seperated frame sizes like this to show developer better understanding for the responsive design ? Or just made 1 responsive design?

Hey, I have a problem with components. When I try to connect a single one there is no problem, but when I want to connect a multi-variant one, it does not see this component. Where is the problem?

I’m building a prototype with accordions across a page. I’m struggling to work out how to ensure when you click to open an accordion, the information opens at the top of the content. At the moment it seems to open half way through the content and I can;t figure out why! Any help would be much appreciated. Figma – 7 Aug 24

Hello! I’m on a project right now and I need to create a background image, or when I use the main element (a little transparent) of this background, there is a color overlay that appears. Is it possible to remove it and if so, how? Thank you.

Hello, I am having issues with Figma, simple issues, but google seems to be failing me (probably just user error) I am working on text in Figma trying to make it bold and the category isn’t offering anything other than ‘regular’ and ‘italics’, if someone can explain to me what I am missing, or how to fix it, I would greatly appreciate it.

I have the following: Standard icon component that loads font awesome icons Card component that displays a card (mix of things, including icon component above) with several variants The idea is that I use that card component in various places, with a Hover interaction to change the card’s variant. This ‘flips’ the card to a graphic and back again. This works fine for me (both in Figma and in a browser). Everyone that I share the prototype with gets the following issue: When coming off the hover, the icon renders the name of the icon, not the icon graphic.

Hi everyone! I’m figuring out how to expand a smaller section with my toggle animation. It clips with the section below it. I tried auto layout on all the sections below it, but I still had the same problem. If you have any ideas please let me know!

When text in multiple layers is selected during multi-edit, and the font is changed, all selected text layer content also changes to the content in one of the layers.
