Hi community! I’m trying to log in to an account, and Figma sends a link to a mail I can’t access, because no longer exists. Has this happened to anyone before? Is there a way Figma can send the link to a funtioning mail? Thanks!!

I’m not sure if this is possible but I couldn’t find a way to open up the presentation link to clients without them needing an account. I think I saw someone else request the ability to export to PPT, that would solve this potential issue too. It’s a shame bc while this is a great tool, as of now my team cannot continue to use it because of these limitations.

Up until a day ago, I was able to preview multiple mobile device frames when prototyping simply by changing the device name at the bottom of the preview. Now, it is only allowing me to see “Android Small”. Before, I was able to select different device sizes at the bottom, like “Android Large”, “iPhone 15”, etc. Hopefully I did something wrong as this feature was incredible to use.

As I further upskill in UX Design I’m conducting a case study on a grocery app designed to simplify shopping for busy professionals. It’s a comprehensive tool for meal planning, recipe inspiration, budget-conscious options, and sustainability purchasing. So far, I’ve run cognitive walkthroughs with 8 participants, which provided insights. Hello all. I am new to Figma, and have not had any training on it, I am just learning on my own. I have searched the help topics, and found a YouTube tutorial, (but it seems to be from the old UI), and I cannot find if I am able to import a gif or a video? Can anyone help me? Hi all, I’m trying to set up variables and test light/dark mode, but I can’t find the layer panel on the right, so I can’t switch modes. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I fetched styles with restful API and found there is only text style name but no properties: I also fetched and searched the whole json of the file which is about 200MB and can not found those properties. Update: After doing a few searchs in the Figma forum I found that I can get style properties with 'v1/files/{file_key}/nodes?ids=<id1,id2,…idn>`, where id is the node_id

Dear Figma Team, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to report an issue I’ve encountered in the current version of Figma. It appears that I am unable to input straight quotes (") while using the software. In previous versions, this functionality was available, but now it seems to be replaced with curved quotes (“”). Having the option to use straight quotes is important for my workflow, so I would appreciate it if you could look into this issue and consider restoring this feature. I’m assuming the horizontal lines are the autolayout gaps and the dot indicated the centre - but what is the purpose? It also immobilised the instance and I can’t move it around. Thanks!

I’m running into a UX hiccup when I try to change a missing font and replace it with an existing established library font component from the main replace missing fonts modal. I came back to a file that hasn’t been used for a while, with that came a font update (as I didn’t have the fonts previously used). When scrolling the never ending list of fonts available I found myself thinking 1. I don’t even have any idea what font I should be choosing (I don’t know it by name but more by look) 2. I use my component library so religiously I found myself wishing I could just replace the fonts with what I have established in my companies design library. From this screen I’m unable to bridge that connection.

Hi ! New Figma user, I’m building a design system. I sometimes get ready-made components (i.e. on Figma community, for example, components with ready-made variants). I’d like to take some of these components and paste them into my personal design system file, but the problem is that they sometimes take me back to the source file (when I want to modify the icon, for example). How can I retrieve components from file A and paste them back into file B without there being any link with file A? I currently select the layers, copy/paste them and recreate a component from these layers, but there must be a simpler way that I don’t know of yet! Thanks in advance for your help.

My organization has a product that we are white-labeling. This is our first time white-labeling the product, so I am trying to set up a good system for my variables so that as we grow, it is easy to add new white-label brands. Just now I lost my design page in one of the file, and it is empty now when I open that page. One page with the full design is missing. What should I do to find it back? Angela

Does anyone know why there’s a dashed line around a component in my icon library? I haven’t seen this before in Figma. And cannot figure out what it means. It highlights blue when the component is selected, and it propagates in every screen I use that component is, which is super annoying.
