when I wanted to copy my Figma file to another Figma file there was a notification if i want to block and don’t accept paste the frame there I wrongly chose block and denied tp accept pasting my frame to the file. now when i again wan to copy my frames to this Figma file i can not paste any thing and I don’t have any notification to accept it.

I have a dropdown button, which I want to change in appearance when pressed. This behavior is universal, so I’ve set it up on the component itself. For individual use cases of this dropdown button, I place an instance in my prototype, then create a new frame for the dropdown’s contents. I then add an instance-level interaction to open this frame as an overlay on-click. This tends to work on the first click, though the variant appearance change in the button doesn’t happen. Then in subsequent clicks, the variant appearance changes but the overlay doesn’t open. It’s as if the appearance-changing interaction is blocking the overlay-opening interaction.

This is actually a message for the Figma product team, unless someone made a custom exension for this (which shouldn’t be needed). The ability to hide Google fonts from the font menu was removed with a recent version, see this screenshot: It’s quite cumbersome to scroll through 1000s of Google fonts only to find our selection of local fonts. I know we can type the name to search, but during font exploration we can’t easily memorize each font name and weight yet. And we hardly ever use Google fonts. Why was this feature removed? It would be a huge time saver if this can be enabled again.

I have this: If I group red and blue together, and yellow and green together, how do I exclude the two groups? If I do an exclude selection it turns into this: Not only are the colors unified, but the groups’ elements are also subject to exclusion. Unexpected, but still working as intended For lines cutting through groups, I figured I could rasterize them. It works in that case although you’ll have to maintain the pre-rasterized group. But in this case, when I did an exclude selection, the 2nd image(very right box) just disappeared Is there an easier way to do this? Like an inverse mask? Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!

Hello everyone! See how the final preview of my prototype in “Present” mode doesn’t work or fit perfectly like in “Preview” mode, whether on the desktop or Windows app… As you can see, there is a gap at the bottom right of the gadget screen 😦 What can I do to fix or adjust this?

I’ve annual subscription but want to include additional design seats to my professional plan with monthly subscription how? I’ve added 5 more seats but they are added as annual and the notification said it will be charged in the next billing. There is no page to downgrade the seats. The user experience in your billing services are absolutely super frustrating and time consuming. Can someone please urgently help? Thanks

Hello! I upload the screenshots to a file, but over time the picture disappears. Only the layer in the left panel remains, and in the working panel there is an empty frame from the screenshot. The right panel of Fill is also empty. Please tell me why this is happening and what can I do? Thanks!

Help! Figma is not working in Russia, internet provider Megafon. Can’t open in any browser or application from different devices. VPN does not help. Figma always says I am offline. Could anybody help with that? Thank you at the upper right to search.

im missing 2 files. looked everywhere - from trash to drafts. even asked the team that was with me on this projects. also tried submitting a request twice, but keeps sending me back here to try and solve it. is there a way to restore those files?

Hi, I’m new to Figma and have a question about seats and billing. I shared a file with another company that works in Figma and they have paid seats. I got an email this morning that I am being charged for adding them as editors, $15 per person per month. My questions is this. Why do I pay extra when sharing a file with someone who already has a paid seat in Figma? Am I not sharing the file correctly?

Hi everyone! I need assistance with enabling the Education Plan on my existing Figma account linked to my Google email. I previously used my university email for education plan on this account, but it somehow got unlinked, and now I cannot log in with it. Consequently, I created a new Figma account with my school email to verify my educational status which I haven’t done yet. However, I would like to keep my current projects and work on the original Google-linked account. Is it possible to transfer the Education Plan verification to this account or merge the two accounts? All my images are blank and I can’t upload any new images after the update. It was working fine one hour ago. It asked me if I wanted to update to the lastest Figma. I said yes and now none of my pictures work or will let me upload new ones. I am on a deadline so will go back to working in Sketch if this not resolved quickly. I have no time to spend hours trouble shooting this.

I actually filled some form on Figma website having this issue and automatic response came back via email, that I actually have starter plan, but others see that they need to have Educator plan to continue editing my projects etc. Can you help me please?

Hi there, I think I sorta get what’s going on, but it’s complicated, and if anyone can explain the specific issue and how to solve it, it’d be much appreciated. I have icons in my design library set up in what’s probably an odd way and that’s probably causing problems - I have a base symbol called Font Awesome Sizing, which is one symbol at 8 different sizes, in different font styles. I then have a library of specific glyphs our team uses - these are made by with new components, that are solely the FAS one, nested, with specific text instead of the generic smile. These are what we use in 99.99% of cases. And it works well! Easy to pick icons, sizing, colors inherit fine. all good…Until we get to prototyping where the icons are nested in more complex symbols. We have a simple icon button here, default state: I can change icons within the variant, and it works perfectly: I have a number of variants set up for the button. Hover. Here’s my situation. I’m a designer so I use the Figma file as an editor. My client has banned all external plugins due to security reasons. We are not paying for dev mode at the moment. How can I just find out how many objects on the screen I have selected? That’s all I want to know. It can’t be true that I need a whole plugin just to expose a functionality that I KNOW Figma natively has (now hidden behind a pywall). And I am not paying for Dev Mode just to be able to count my objects. That would be silly. This feels like such a basic thing, it should be displayed by default somewhere when objects are selected. Can someone please tell me there’s something I’m missing and that this is in fact possible?

how do I divide sections into 2 or 3 or 4? Usually in CSS you use percentage 😕 Using auto-layout and setting min-max with doesn’t seem to be the solution. In the image there are 5 Cards/Containers and what I want is them to take like (100% / 3) width and in some cases 50%.

Hi, I made my beautiful lace overlay to go over the dresses as you can see in this animation: animation 🙂 However, everytime I roll over the overlay, my marquee text on the top resets. How do I avoid this? I want the marquee text to keep going even after the lace border is up.

Hello there, I am creating a script to implement our design system tokens in our Figma files. So I am using the variables API. It works when I created variables with values like COLORS/FLOAT but when I am trying to add alias to another variable it didn’t work. My first question is, which id should I use to link another variable to it. On this screenshot: "id" or "subscribed_id"? To explain my situation, I have two files, A and B. File A contains many variables and I want to link my variables in file B to the variables in file A. The library in file A is published and added to file B. Hi, I ran into some trouble when creating a design system. The main component has 2 variants (closed/open). When it’s open, it shows a nested component. Swapping the instance of this nested component works OK when the prototype starts in “open” state (when the nested component is shown) but displays the original instance when starting in “closed” state. Hey everybody Im creating a component using “after delay” and even though its not grayed out and i can add it normally, when i go to preview mode, it doesnt work!! Ive been trying it for a few days now with different components but it never works. Does anyone know ther reason? Thanks

Hi! I’m not sure what caused this, but I’ve stopped having the automatic color token change automatically work inside the document when changing the mode for the outer frame that contains the components. I created color tokens for light and dark theme. But when I change the overall appearence, the components inside change color only partially (like border becomes dark, but not the text). They have the appearence property set to Auto by default, but they only see Light in it, even though the outer container is set to Dark
