Hi community! This is tricky to explain. But sometimes the arrow up/down seem to simply move the Caret Position in the input field to the beginning or the end, instead of changing the selected item in the list. If I hover the list, the up and down selection starts to work again. Using arrow down to select from all auto-complete searching is deep in my muscle memory, as I’m sure many of yours as well, so this issue has become somewhat if a nuisance to me. I never realized how many times per minute I searched and selected a style or variable before this started not to work. Could this be something with my trackpad, keyboard, computer etc. Or is it something anyone else also has experience?

The Figma attribute is not working properly. Previously, dragging the cursor could control the numbers in the attribute in the effect. However, recently dragging the cursor cannot change the numbers in the attribute box, and manual input is required. After experimentation, the colors and transparency inside are effective. However, in the effect, whether it is projection effect, layer blur, or background blur, the cursor cannot be dragged to change the numbers, and the keyboard must be used to change the numbers

We are updating our icons in our design system foundation library after rebranding. With this, icons don’t only get a new style, but we want to do some minor improvements. We want to combine 3 icons into 1, and make sure that all instances of these 3 icons across all files are updated to the 1 selected. But we can’t figure it out… We tried with the ‘merge it’ plugin but that did’t help (even though the description is exactly what we were looking for). We also tried combining the 3 icons as variants to create 1 component, but can’t figure out how to merge the variants into 1 and overwrite the instances. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I’m working on a phone dialpad for a mobile application where the buttons need to increase size as the text size increases. All the buttons start out the same size. I am finding that as text size increases, the buttons increase differently as the text size increases. Does anyone know how to keep the buttons equal in size as the text size increases?

Usually when i open a file, a new tab opens for that file, but now i only see the design file but no tab is opened for it. I’ve tried changing teams and re installing Figma but nothing changed. In the video belw, no tab is opened when i click on the file, i can see the file opening but it doesnt come up as a tab where i can leave and come back to it later.

I want this component to operate like a gwern hoverlink – When I hover over the text, the popup should appear. If I move my mouse away from the text and the popup, it should hide again. BUT – if move my mouse over the popup it should continue to stay visible, until the mouse leaves the popup. I actually think this used to work by simply adding a delay to the mouseLeave interaction on the text but this no longer works – the popup will hide even if my mouse is in it. A recent update (2-3 weeks ago) changed this behavior. Any solutions?

I made this overlapping text by converting ‘my’ to vector (Add Stroke Outline), and making that stroke white. The problem is the effect relies on a white stroke, so it only works if I export the whole image with a white background. I want it to have a transparent background so it will work on dark mode. Any help is appreciated - thank you!

I’m using the latest version of Figma on my education account and have activated AI, but I don’t see the AI prompt in the toolbar for creating prototypes, designs, or suggesting auto layout. Does anyone know why these features might not be available?

CONFIG 24… to be exact. I also remember when you could double click into a autoflow frame, or any nested (don’t even start) group. who does this guy think he is, he probs doesn’t even Figma bro - ok. (15+ years a product maker) all this guy does is troll Figma - not without reason (if you are making products and you are not experienceing bugs in Figma 2 things are true 1, you is delulu. 2, you are not making products) blah blah blah insert other discrediting factor to leave Figma in the right and this mope in the wrong - just whatever comes to mind, say that. it will be fun. No one give a FLOOP about slides who builds products. You know that. I know that. We know slides was made for people who can’t design but can manage. so all the focus is now again on the people who manage the work vs the doers. I am currently trying to verify which users belong to the monthly and annual subscriptions from the user list. However, when reviewing the console, it only reflects the total number of users under each subscription type. I am unable to find an option to view the individual users assigned to these two subscription categories. Could you kindly assist in guiding me on how to access this information or if there is a specific method to identify the users under each subscription plan? In the right side i can’t find the boolean property button of the icon of the component. Instead of boolean property button appeared “apply variable mode” button in the Appearance section. How can I find boolean property button?

In the enterprise instance of Figma, we have amended the sharing settings to allow a larger time window for recipients to view. For some reason, this has now deleted 6 out of 7 prototypes with no idea of how to return them. Wasting 2 days of work just before a large stakeholder demo. Weve raised a support ticket, sent direct emails and no response - anyone in the community faced this problem before and know a solution?

Hi, I’m having trouble using “Navigate to” overrides on component variant interactions. I’m trying to make a component where a non-default variant will navigate to a different frame (while the rest just change between the varients). For example. I have a list that you can navigate up and down with the arrow keys (the arrow keys here are changing the list component between variants of each other. When you press up from the top of the list, it navigates to a new frame, when you press down at the bottom of the list, it navigates to a new frame. For some reason, this only works for the variant that is set first when starting the prototype (whether the first or last item is selected by default). Is this a bug? As designed? Any workarounds other than having individual frames for each list item being focused? Figma – 30 Jun 22

Hi all, I work with local color styles in a document and the buttons I use in the document are always based on primary and secondary color. For the hover I’ve made styles named “primary alt” and “secondary alt”. However, the document will be used for multiple clients, so the primary and secondary colors will constantly change. Is it possible that I base the hover colors on the primary and secondary colors, but make them slightly darker. So when I change the primary color from green to red, the hover color automatically changes from dark green to dark red. Thank you in advance!

The alt 1 or 2 shortcuts are not working, i cant find anyone else with this problem after the update, so i have no idea how to fix this. The only thing i see are my pages and i don’t know how to switch it to my layers. Also why is the view left panel gone from the view tab it was so nice to have? Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi, I have created my first Figma Slides Template to be used by my colleagues (also non-designers) and I am looking for an easy way for them to be able to import excel or google spreadsheet tables into the Figma Slides. I have tried to use the Table to Figma Plug-in, however, it does not work in Figma Slides. All plugins are disabled for me for Figma Slides and it says it is unavailable in view-only. I have a professional plan.
