Yesterday Figma mirror (iOS) has stopped showing images and some frames with images in mirrored layouts. Prior to that, everything worked fine. I updated the app but the problem is still there.
in terms of the enterprise What does this mean and what are the benefits of advanced design systems?
Hi, I’m using the LottieFiles plugin to export an animation to Framer. It looks great in the Figma LottieFiles panel, but when I upload it to Framer, (using the Lottie element) the pictures do not render. Does anyone have a fix for this? I’ve also tried using the dotlottie extension instead, with the same results.
Hi, Is there any more detailed documentation on the on drag trigger apart from general article on prototype triggers (https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360040035834-Prototype-triggers)? This trigger seems to have a few condition to work I think (eg. like content expanded over parent component frame … I think at least, etc). Are these conditions documented somewhere? At the moment I am especially interested in 2 questions concerning this trigger: a. Can on drag trigger ever pair with “open an overlay” action on a parent frame? b. Can on drag actually ever work out of a component (apart from setting variables, which I have tested, that it can do out of a component)?
When we try to upload an Asian language font (example: https://codeberg.org/nobles5e/fonts-for-figma-bug-report/raw/branch/main/Medium.ttf ), on Admin > Resources > Fonts page, it takes forever to complete the request.
After the latest update, I’m unable to change my styles due to an icon alignment issue in the UI. Whenever I hover over the styles, the icon shifts downward, preventing me from opening and modifying them. This behavior is happening both in the Figma app and browser.
I feel I can’t measure two elements as I did before. For example, if I select the grey box and press Option, the red line distance won’t show.
Hi there, I’m trying to optimise our people and billing. Developers only need to view and inspect code and elements, they don’t need to edit or create. Can I set all developers to viewer-restricted (design seat) and full seat (dev-mode)? Or does Figma force us all to have both ticked in as full to earn more money? 😕 /Magnus
Hi all, Is there service disruptions currently? I’m facing a number of issues including Dashboard/Home area staying in a skeleton state and not showing projects Colours imported from our design system not showing. All our libraries look to have bee removed as I’m seeing the ‘Add to file’ button and they’re not letting me re-add. When leaving comments, they’re not showing on the Figma board after the comment is submitted. I still get the notification but just can’t see where it is on the board. Any suggestions to fix would be much appreciated. Thanks
im tryig to add fill to my vector shape and its not filling, well although at some point the shape is not pne lomg connecting line but few broken lines to complete the shape, would that have been the issue?
Do they have Gift Cards towards Figma Subscription? The annual subscription tier as a gift is pricey, do they have gift cards for subscription of different increments like couple of months? Thanks for replying
Currently, there is no way to select the value for “Value” from the Variable Library when using the following setup: Interaction: “While Hovering” Action: “Set Variable” Target: [Color from Variable Library] I would like to have the option to select the value by choosing from an already defined color variable.
For my Primitives, I have added the Neutral colours as hex codes, light and dark use separate palettes and don’t pull from the same palette. When I go to map my Primitives to their Semantic names, the dark mode column shows the same colours as the light mode. There’s no way for me to add the dark mode primitives I’ve defined before. Also, to preview how my design will look in dark mode I have to switch both Semantic/Primitive modes in order to see the theme change. Is there a better way I could do this?
Hi everyone, I was wondering if it’s possible to have an “drag and hold” picture carrousel. By this I mean that while on prototype mode the user can drag the pictures and change their place, just like when we do an Instagram post and we want to put some pictures first. Is it possible to prototype something like this? Thank you for taking the time Ap
I created two squares using the rectangle tool, both using the same border radius on the bottom left corner. However, one of the square seems to apply the radius on the wrong corner. I checked the rotation and it doesn’t seem to have any flips or rotation applied. Is this a bug?
With a pro account, I work on the same library every week. As a result, I have to push and update a lot. So all my dependencies files are often synced. Why is Figma offering me an update from two years ago? @Gayani_S ?
Hi all, I’m 2 weeks in learning Figma so bear with me, I just finished designing a home page with prototypes and all. It was approved and I got the go to make the thing responsive for tablet and mobile. I tried to educate myself as much as I could on auto layout, constraints and all, but it seems like when I create a component that has instances and I put them into a auto layout, it doesn’t work as it should. It seems like if I want to use the same prototyped animation for desktop, tablet and mobile I need to recreate that prototype for each version? It seems like too much work. My example is: I Created a slideshow for the showcase section of the website. My slideshow is made of 5 images inside a auto layout, inside a frame that are turned into a component. The frame acts as a clipping mask to show only one picture at a time. I then created variants of this component showing different pictures each time. The prototype is set on a delay, and auto animates to switch picture automatically
I resurrect this topic from another user that was closed without any response. For example: Using the Fill option for the image, the image will be center aligned when the container size changes. I need the image still fill the width of the container, but align to the top of the image, instead of the center. Crop doesn’t work, bc it will scratch the image only on the X-axis. The container can get wider, but the height is fixed. I tried different way (change the image to scale, auto layout, etc) and couldn’t find a way to achieve this. Anyone knows a trick? Or this is something Figma cannot do at the moment? Thanks!
I expect to have two drag interactions which go to the left and right for a carousel. Unfortunately, only one direction works (to the right side). Is it a bug? Or how can I fix it?
I want to showcase my design system in a presentation, but preparing slices, exporting them, and importing them into slides is a cumbersome process. It would be amazing if I could set a slice, for example, 810x810, and directly target that slice in a Figma slide. This way, I could pull it through seamlessly into the slide. Additionally, having the ability to zoom, rotate, and adjust the slice directly within the slide would make it much easier to perfect the content.
I use the desktop app–my team and I post Figma links in Slack. I would like to be able to open them directly in the desktop app, but I can’t. Direct as in not going through a browser first. I have Bumpr (link opener utility), but I can’t designate Figma as a “browser”. Current flow: I click the link in Slack “Opening this in desktop app” page opens in Chrome File opens in desktop app I would like to get rid of #2. It feels super clunky, leads to #3 not always showing me the correct page/screen, and leaves a tab in Chrome that other than reloading to fix a step #3 failure, has no long-term purpose. Does the Slack plugin allow #2 to be skipped? I can’t test this because I’m not the Slack admin.
How do you scroll around your Figma canvas with a normal scroll-wheel mouse? I use a Magic Mouse for Figma work. That means I can scroll in any direction with a single finger on the top of the mouse, which is super convenient. For ergonomic reasons I am moving to a larger mouse. Are there mouses other than Apple’s that have the touch surface on them? If not I guess I’m transitioning to a scroll wheel. How do you navigate the canvas with a scroll wheel? Having to hold a modifier key to enter or change modes feels like it’ll be clumsy after the easy one-finger movement of the Magic Mouse.
I have card components which use smadows in Light mode, but can I disable them in Dark mode using Variables? Can’t figure it out. Thanks 🙂
Hello everyone! About a month ago i noticed that Figma cant see the new fonts, then i decided to go to another program to finish my work, thinking that Figma (after the big upgrade) needs a time to detect the new font files. Now i am in the situation when i cant work without Figma. I spent about 4 hours reading the forum and useless articles in case i can find the solution. And no! The problem is still here. I tried: Install and uninstall Figma Desktop Install and uninstall Figma Font Installer Restart my macbook Tried to work from browser (nothing changed, no fonts) Troubleshoot/clear cache (OF COURSE!) I even have tried to put the font in Figma with mac os console I am loosing my hope to solve this naughty small problem. How can i fix this? Any ideas? MacOS 15.0 Sequoia (24A335) Figma Desktop App version 124.6.2
Hi there, I’m currently experimenting with scrolling content on a page, specifically using a scroll bar. I’ve followed some tutorials, and while the basic functionality is working, there are a few issues I haven’t been able to resolve: I’ve added a hover action to the scroll bar button, but it doesn’t seem to stay active while scrolling - I’ve tried this using both ‘change to’ and also by setting each state as a true / false variant - neither seems to give the desired effect. When releasing the scroll button mid-scroll, the content jumps to the top or bottom instead of stopping in-situ, which would be the expected behaviour of a scroll bar for the user. Any help on any of the points would be greatly appreciated! I’m still early in my learning journey, so any guidance would be really helpful. I’ve attached the Figma file I’m working on, and I’ve tried to name everything clearly and logically. Thanks so much! scroll-test.fig (51.0 KB)
