The Figma API cannot complete the graph of objects for an account. There is no endpoint to list the teams which a user belongs to. Without this the rest of the endpoint cannot be reached without getting a teamId, projectId, or fileKey from an external source. Providing a traversable graph is a basic function of any REST API and without the API is basically useless for most scenarios.

Hello, I am also being gaslit by my Figma file. I opened it one day and a lot of things are in bold. And because some of the text styles are intentionally bold and some are not, I cannot Blanket Cmd+B the Frame, because while it un-bolds the ones that were not intentional, it messes up the ones that are intentional. This (B) is what I see applied to the style (on each individual Regular Small style)

If I install an updated version of a font, I have to do the following to update all the text to reflect the newest version of the font: Reload the tab for the file in question. Double-click each and every text box that uses the font. Is there a workaround to having to do Step 2? Perhaps an as-is regex find-and-replace (style-based)? Or better yet, would it be simple to write a script or extension that goes through every text box in a file and updates it? Does such an extensions already exist? Thanks in advance.

Our team has encountered a recurring issue with image exports. While the export preview shows the image perfectly centered, the exported PNG or JPG files (the only formats supported in our app) sometimes appear slightly off-center. I am looking to create a decision tree for sales reps. The first question should have the potential answers, and then the next step should appear based on the answer selected by the sales rep. Is this a possibility?

Once I get in this file I can’t edit much of it because figma automatically changes my cursor to the comment tool. This has happened two times after reading some comments. I somehow make it to stop switching my tool but don’t know what is causing this and how to make it stop.

I am trying to fetch all variables (names and color values) from Figma via two endpoints: GET /v1/files/:file_key/variables/local GET /v1/files/:file_key/variables/published Both of them are currently in beta. Via the local var endpoint everything works fine and I am able to fetch all var names and colors in this prop: “valuesByMode” For the published endpoint on the other hand I am not able to fetch these values. The endpoint returns data, but somehow not color names and values. Also according to the api docs this doesnt seem to be intended and I am wondering why? Am I overlooking something or is there any other way how to fetch Figma variables with names and values?

My biggest pet peeve in Figma is the transparent scroll bars. Is there a way I can customize the color of the vertical and horizontal navigation scroll bars to make them more visible?

My team has noticed that Icons in our design library no longer update their color (in the Figma UI component picker) when the Figma UI is in dark-mode. Prior to the new UI update, the icons would show up as white here so they were easy to see. Now our black icons show up on a dark grey background, making them hard to find. I’m hoping to not have to update our design system to make all the icons white so I can find them, and then manually change them back to black when ever I place them on the art board. Not sure if it helps/hurts, but we have light and dark colors assigned to these icons in our library.

Hello, our team has encountered an issue in our Figma file that has not been edited for quite some time. Suddenly, all input components have reset to the main component, and the texts have changed to the master text. None of our team members have manipulated the text or pressed “Reset all changes”. Just yesterday, all text changed to the master text “John Smith”. Do you have any ideas why this happened? Is it a bug or did we do something wrong on our part? We have a very extensive design library, and sometimes components suddenly change or break without any editing. Thank you in advance! 🙏

I have an inconsistent issue with my prototype link. When I share it, some people get the prototype as per set-up (all the interactions etc). However, some people get a different page of the prototype which is our cover page for the Design File (visual attached from user testing). Sadly this has affected a few remote testing recordings as users couldn’t get further. The link to the prototype below, would be great to know if anyone else gets this issue and why is it happening? Link to the prototype When building prototype, are we only allowed to have one page in the file? But it’s inconsistency that worries me and I cannot be confident with sharing the link with anonymous users for the test. Help 🙂

Hello Figma community ! (I hope I’m posting this in the good categorie) I’m working from home (yay covid you know) and I constantly have MS Teams, Figma and Firefox opened. I’ve been done with my computer (i7 8th gen, 16gb ddr4 ram, nvme ssd) lags and all the software freezing so I started searching the problem. I figured it out quickly : my ram was full (15,6 of 16 gb). I rebooted the computer and softwares, and then my pc immediately started using 10GB. Windows uses 5gb, Teams 1gb, Firefox 2gb (I’ve got a lot of tabs) and 2GB are immediately dedicated to Figma. Isn’t that big for Figma to use immediately 2GB** (i opened only one projects) after launching ? It goes to 4.5GB if I open 2 or 3 projects… Is that normal for Figma to use that amount of RAM or am I doing something wrong ? Do I need a better pc for that usage ? I’m a student using figma for almost all of my works and buying a better computer is not an option for now. What are your tips and pros about Figma RAM (and CPU)

I’ve been granted access to edit a Figma file with different pages. All components are present on one page. However, every time I try to go to the main component a message appears saying “you don’t have access to this file”. On the other hand, when I go to the components’ page itself and do changes to one of the main components, the changes don’t get updated anywhere in the file. What should I do? I’m using the web-browser app from a mac. I’m on a free plan subscription I need to be able to edit components and see the updates happening

All of my HDFC credit cards are being declined for payment. I have successfully made payments using the same credit card until last month, but now Figma is not accepting the card. Has anyone else faced this issue? Can anyone help? Ask the community @Figma_Support

Hello guys, I have a problem with the data I input inside the components I created in my project. Whether I use variables or not, when I shut down Figma and I open it up again, the data I inputted are no longer there. In particular I am talking about a 3 levels navigation, composed by accordions (picture below). If everything is open, the datas of course are still there (but, obviously, I need it close in the prototype, so that I can open it there). If I close the accordions, the data disappears. Does this happen to anybody else? How can I solve it?
