Hi Community! When exporting PDF files the color changes to grey when importing it to Pandadoc. Do you know why this happens? It starting doing this since a couple of weeks now. When I import an older PDF export from Figma in Pandadoc i don’t have this issue. See screenshot:

I am having an issue where if you have a table layout with each cell containing a component with a “hover” state showing a pop up, the top most layer works just fine but anything below it, shows the layer set to “first” or up front within the layers panel. I need the hover to work for all if possible. If not, I will have to only showcase one field working in this manner for the prototype.Any help would be greatly appreciated! Top most layer hover card:Second hover card where the top most layer appears up front.Thanks!

HI there ! When i want to add variant to a component or want to create a component set, padding of the box is 200 px 😐 i try to set as default setting in edit menu but it doesn’t work for component set size and every time i add a variant to component set everything changes like pic blow. any solution?

when we are designing an screen should we consider the task bar and the browser ui bar? Or we only design the view port?

Hi community, this is my first topic. I often use Auto Layout with components. These components have variants that change dimension upon an interaction, such as clicking on an element in order to expand it into a larger element. Generally this just works. However, when I nest components with Auto Layout within a parent component, the Auto Layout spacing no longer responds to changed dimensions that result from the child component interactions, and the child components in the Auto Layout overlap with one another. Is this a limitation of Figma, or is there a way to make this work? Thank you for your time!

So … I have merged a branch and noticed something went wrong (probably kept a change I should not have). Consequently I reverted said branch (aka restored an earlier version in the history of my master file).How do I restore my "merged" branch to try and merge it again? Online it said, that this is impossible. Are all the changes completely lost now? In my case those are luckily small and I can redo them rather quickly, however I do find it a bit worrying …Should I ever have some big changes in a branch it would mean completely redoing them if I am not mistaken? This does not really build trust in the system if I am being very honest 😅 

Conditional prototyping used to allow us to IF statement - allow to set multiple variables ( var1=”A” && var2=”A”) THEN (set variable) - change variable (var1=”B” && var2=”B”) ☝️ This doesn’t seem to be supported in the new UI. You can only explicitly declare 1 variable What happened to 2.1, is this no longer supported? Or is there a new work around with the new UI?  Ideally, I want to be able to change multiple variable’s value from a click condition. This used to be possible in the previous UI because we can write the script. What am I missing? 🙆‍♂️ 

Hey Guys, I’m quite new to figma (about a week in)As you can see in the video, I’m presenting the hovering smart animation for my google button, how can i make it so that when it animates to the bigger version of itself, it animates in a centered manner if that makes sense. I’ve tried looking everywhere on figma if theres like a setting but ive probably missed it. Is there any way i can animate the button in the centre. Thanksgoogle drive video

Hello, for me it’s seems like a bug, but maybe I’m doing something wrong?I’m choosing few elements so I can move them together inside the grid,however, sometimes like in this case, these elements gets duplicated,however all I did was move them around, I did not copied them. Thanks!   

Hi Figma Community,I have used File 1 to build the Figma Variables.and published it for the rest of the project to used.At File 1, it show up.Once I published, at File 2,the Dark Mode V1 / Light Mode / Dark Mode V2 selection did not show up. It still like this Is there a solution to this?

I am using a material design icons and instead of linking to that separate file I wanted to know could I just have those master components in my own file rather linking to one. I have cut and pasted but they still go to the external file.

I have created a widget using cursor, how can I import in figma file?

The components in my file aren’t reflecting the most recent master component updates, despite me publishing and accepting the updates. There is other weirdness as well. Steps:I published the original library, and moved all of the components to a new library using CMD X and paste.  I published the new library and started noticing that many of the “swap me” components that had been replaced with content components (which had edits to text, images, etc. in the instances) had reverted to the “swap me” component I panicked and reverted to a previous version before I had moved my components because I needed the designs to reflect the edited state. Since the original design file is an MVP, it can remain as is and I just won’t accept any updates to the new component library in that file.  Moving on to new design file using the new component library… When I pull in components from the new library (which has updates to the components that I recently added), the updates are not reflected. Is it possible so that when I’m resizing a component with frame constrains the image stops scaling once it reaches it’s frame borders?This is the original component  

Hi there! I’m starting a new project using Figma’s Simple Design System (SDS) and have a question about the color primitives. Under "Foundations," I noticed there are two types of gray primitives: Gray and Slate. These link to semantic tokens but in slightly different ways.I’m also curious about the distinction between Default/Base and Neutral tokens in the Color Variables (e.g., for Background, Text, Icon, etc.). Could someone clarify the differences and share best practices for using these various "grays"? Thanks in advance!

For some reason after the latest update Figma mouse wheel scroll up/down is not working properly. Let me describe the problem I’m having. When I used the mouse scroll wheel (scrolling up and down) before the latest update, it was just scrolling up/down. Now, sometimes instead of scrolling up and down its zooming in and out. I’m using Macbook Pro Max M1 2021. Please, let me guys know if you have similar issue or its just me. Maybe its related to the mouse firmware update or something or its a bug I’m not really sure. Hello all, Struggling a bit to achieve a very common pattern on the web with overlays (popovers). Let’s say there is component X (button for example), that when mouse entered and stayed hover for a certain time (let’s say 250ms), an overlay should open from that component (let’s say a menu). That is achievable in Figma today using mouse enter > open overlay (but delay is unsupported unfortunately). Now on the web, the user expects the overlay to close when they either move the mouse out of the original component and NOT over the overlay, from the overlay to outside of it, or if they click something inside the overlay menu. This seems not possible to do achieve in Figma, or am I missing something ? I can activate “close on click outside” on the overlay, fine, but it’s not the same… I can add a close overlay when mouse leaves but I have to add this on the overlay itself, not the original component, and I don’t find a way to also close overlay if mouse moves away from component X. I’m a new Figma user and I’m building pages based on Figma mock-ups. I have only view access to the Figma design, and I can’t figure out how to export the background image of a frame while preserving the crop exactly as it appears in Figma. When I export the frame itself, all content visible within the frame (text, buttons, etc.) is exported - i.e. it exports the framed region exactly as it appears. I want only the background image, but unlike this thread, I want just the portion of the background image that appears within the frame. Is this possible? It seems like it would be a common need, but I can’t figure it out.

I am using Google’s Material 3 UIKit for a project, but would like to alter styles to the project’s needs. How can i copy the UIKit with all it’s styles to use it as a local library so that i can change the library as needed?(I am on the starter plan)

Hi!I currently use “Professional” plan, and I purchased 2 seats, for me and my developer.My question is - Should we both have “Professional” plan so that my developer will have access to my drafts(with all the Properties visible, etc.)? Or I can just have the “Professional” plan for myself and give my developer editing rights? Or may be my developer should be on the “Professional” plan (and have access to all Properties), while I stay on the basic plan?Just trying to figure out the best option.Thank you!

Text words fine itself with just auto layoutHowever, when I try to create components for header and body copy and put it into an auto layout, the width and heigh of the text does not fit to the frame and text height does not adjust accordingly. IssueIssueText Properties Text Properties 

Hello, I recently went back to studying UX/UI Design after a hiatus and received a message from Figma saying that my student plan will expire in 4 weeks. When I tried to re-apply, I received the message "You’ve already used up your free access to the Figma Education plan." I am still a student and do not work in the field yet, how can I re-apply for the education plan?

I am having difficulty putting text on top of some of my images. I click on the text and choose bring to front. Sometimes this works, sometimes it does not. On certain images no matter how many times I click bring to front the image is always on top. Thanks!
