Missing Features After Update: Unable to Drag to Adjust Values or Scroll with Middle Mouse Button

Hi everyone,

I’ve noticed some changes in Figma’s UI recently (possibly after the latest update), and I wanted to check if others are experiencing the same:

  1. Dragging to Adjust Input Fields
I used to be able to click and drag on fields like “X”, “Y”, “Blur”, etc., to increase or decrease their values interactively. Now, it seems that functionality is gone—I can only type values manually or use the arrow keys. Is this an intentional change, or a bug?
  2. Middle Mouse Scrolling
Additionally, I can’t scroll the canvas using the middle mouse button anymore. It was a super handy feature for navigating around quickly.

Has anyone else encountered these issues? Are there workarounds, or is this a confirmed change in Figma’s behavior?

I’m using Desktop App on Windows if that helps.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Marc,

I’m a bit late and maybe it was just an update issue that the Figma devs have fixed it by now. But I wanted to ask - did you manage to find a solution to your issue?

About your 1st point, I’m currently using a shortcut that works well on desktop app for Windows: Alt + left click on the value, then left or right for adjust the value.

For the 2nd point my scroll is working just fine.

Hope this helps.

Daniel

Hi!
Same happened to me as well. Until yesterday I was able to adjust measures with a mouse scroll button (web app). Today, I’m not able to do so anymore.

Is there any way to enable it again?
Thank you!

I found out how it works. Just click on the field that contains size in numbers and whilst still holding the click, drag left/right.
