Hello! Please help. Figma does not start. When starting, an error message appears: “Failed to fetch font list. Your network settings may need updating.”

Hi @astraltwin2, Thank you for reaching out and letting us know about the issue you’re facing.

To help us get a better understanding of what’s happening and begin troubleshooting, could you please check the following for us?

  1. Determine if the issue occurs only on the Desktop app, only on supported web browsers, or on both.
  2. Perform some basic troubleshooting steps to see if there’s any improvement:
    • Browser: Force-quit your current session and try opening Figma in a new browser window.
    • Desktop app: Force-quit the Figma Desktop app and then restart it.
  3. Clear the app or browser cache to check if this resolves the issue.
  4. Try using Figma in an incognito or private browser window to see if there’s any difference.
  5. Attempt to access Figma from a different network, such as using a mobile hotspot, to see if the issue persists.

If step 4. works, the problem might be caused by an extension in your browser. Can you try turning off your extensions one by one to find out which one is causing the issue?

If step 5. fixes the problem, it might be because of your current network settings. If this is the case, I suggest talking to your IT team. For more details, you can read this help center article: Check your network settings

If the issue persists after trying the troubleshooting steps mentioned above, I suggest reaching out to our support team for further assistance via this link: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360001744374

Hello! Thank you very much! The problem was caused by an extension in the browser. (Blipshot: full-page screenshots in one click 2.0.0)

Hi!
I do have - almost - the same issue.
For me, this error occurs only in the desktop app, everything works fine in the browser.
I tried restarting both, Figma and my Mac, but it doesn’t work. It first occured somewhen yesterday mid-day. Before that everything was perfectly fine.
