I am creating a simple app as part of a school project to help users understand their HbA1c levels and what they mean for their health. HbA1c is a measure of average blood sugar levels over the past 2-3 months, and it’s an important test for diagnosing diabetes and managing blood sugar.This app is designed to let users type in their HbA1c level, and based on what they enter, the app will provide information about their health:If the HbA1c is below 5.7%, the app will display a message saying their level is normal and they have no diabetes. If the HbA1c is between 5.7% and 6.4%, it will inform them that they are in the prediabetes range and should take steps to manage their health. Hi everyone,My team has an Organisation account and we have 1 library file which we use to get all components. What is the best way to update components when 15 designers are working on it?I need a plan how to review, approve and update components without branching. Example: I have a card component, I assign 3 designers to work on a modification to it.They copy the component into their own file, detach it, make modification and send it back to me. I review all 3 and I select 1 version. Now, I go to main componet and need to make changes manually? There must be a better way?  All ideas are welcome!

Hi, As an animator it’s so frustrating seeing the lack of functionality for Lottie files compared to other packages like Flutter Flow. Animating in Figma is fine for most, but not for an animator, creating animation-heavy apps. I need After Effects Animation for character animations and other complex animations. I need Lottie files to play animations in Figma just once on splash screens etc. Seems so basic for a massive app like Figma… Please let us know if this is being looked at, otherwise, we will have to stop using Figma for creating apps. I have a design system that uses 2 modes, and have recently added 7 more modes. They show properly in the Variables panel (now split between two Collections), but when I go to select them in the Variable Modes dropdown, I only see the initial 2. Do modes only register the first created Collection? If that theory holds true, it seems like my 9 mode example below should only show 1 mode in the dropdown, and it’s still showing the initial 2. My 2 mode structure:themes (collection){ theme1 (mode){...}, theme2 (mode){...}} My 9 mode structure:(For clarity, yes, theme2 moved from one collection to another below)themes (collection){ theme1 (mode){...}}variations (collection){ theme2 (mode){...}, theme3 (mode){...}, theme4 (mode){...}, theme5 (mode){...}, theme6 (mode){...}, theme7 (mode){...}, theme8 (mode){...}, theme9 (mode){...}}I’m using Token Studio to create the variables, but that doesn’t seem to have an impact on the result. Thank you!

I have made a dropbox with component sets and here is the screenshot:  As a newbie in figma… I want an interactive Next button so whenever the user clicks any of the Emirates or any of the cities the next button would appear or else it would remain hidden. Any Solutions?

I’m moving from Adobe XD over to Figma, and I find working with images rather awkward. I’m currently trying to scale an image up. I set the image treatment to “crop”, but when I attempt to scale the control points, nothing happens. I’m wondering if this is a bug? Any help would be much appreciated.

I’ve created many web designs in Figma recently but suddenly in this sheet any text I paste (from my typical Apple Text Edit) is appearing as grey, ditto with the once white bullets because when I create a new bullet by hitting return on the sentence above it’s also grey? How do I set the default text to white? Thanks

i used to be able to just drag and drop a new design on top of the main component and it would change all instances, but now when i try to drag and drop a new design into the main component it just places it over top of the old design. its starting to frustrate me because i think i’ve tried everything… thanks in advance

Framing QuestionSometimes, you might discover that a layer, which appears to be inside a frame, is actually outside of it—placed directly on the canvas. It just happens to share the same x and y coordinates as the frame. When you move the frame, some layers suddenly lose their positions because they weren’t part of the frame. This can be quite frustrating.Usually, when I encounter an orphan layer like this, I have to find it in the layer list and drag the item into the frame list item. Alternatively, I drag the layer outside the frame and then back again to its original position. This is also an annoying process.However, I’ve noticed that when I drag a layer that isn’t part of the frame, the frame underneath sometimes highlights with a blue line, suggesting there’s a way to add the layer to the frame directly.So, is there a shortcut or similar method to add a layer that is atop a frame to the frame easily?

I created a component with two variants: State: Collapsed and State: Extended. Basically, the first one is when it’s not clicked, and the second one is when it is clicked. I changed the text in the second variant, but in presentation mode, the text doesn’t seem to update. In the prototype, I picked “change to” to switch from collapsed to extended and vice versa. I’ve attached a video to show the issue. This is the first time I’ve run into this little hiccup, so I think I might have forgotten something or overlooked a detail.Figma question

Hi guys! I'm trying to prototype this section, and i wanted to know if it's possible to change the image A, for an image B when it's aligned to the SECOND TEXT. I attached a gif so you guys can understand better what I mean.

Found nothing regarding this in a Search, so asking here. The Help doc shows an icon to adjust Paragraph Spacing just below the Line Height icon. But in my settings panel this Paragraph Spacing icon/adjustment is not visible. Has it moved somewhere? Thanks.

I have a file with a design system, and I want to preserve the properties of the components in Figma into new file and create new components in the design system with the same properties but with different tokens. Essentially, I need to detach the old components from the old design system into a new one. I need variants of the old components. May be we have some plugin? Or I can do it just in Figma?

Hello I’m using a professional plan on Figma I’ve enabled the AI feature in the settings, but it doesn’t show up in the toolbar. Could this be a bug, or is there a way to make it appear?

I was wondering if there is any way to drag and drop and image from your desktop in a FigJam so it swaps the image out, rather than stacking on top. Any help is appreciated!

 How to filter search results by Drafts only? 

Currently making a prototype for book reserving. Upon clicking check in, it’s supposed to toggle a variable checkActive to true. It’s supposed to look like this but instead it toggles the two other windows from some reason?  What’s the issue here when I have affixed the appropriate variables to each window’s visibility? 

In my design library, I’ve created a component a component with a light transparent image background, I want it to switch to a dark transparent image background if in dark mode - This seemed the only way to add transparency that didn’t apply to the child elements inside of the component. This usually works fine for most elements using local color variables in this design library… but I can’t make an image a variable.How have others solved this challenge? I don’t want to do this with interaction triggers, because this is a library element, and I don’t want to create a variant, because that defeats the purpose of having a mode. 

Figma flickers when loading or when switching between tabs or zooming. I couldn’t find how to fix the issue on the internet. I use the application on Windows. This is not visible in the screen recording. I have a video on my phoneaccounts.google.com

I am running into a bug only in the past 2 hours. Any instance of a component with variants that has text from a variable now won’t show the text. Is anyone else seeing this problem? I can re create this with a very simple 1 text component.

I designed a site design from Figma Desktop and then due to an app update, I couldn’t use the Desktop version anymore and had to use the browser version. This could be relevant to the problem. Now its time to build the site but I can’t export any images or text without changing the fonts to something else (which I would rather not). I select an image and shift command E or File/Export but nothing happens. 0 out 0 exported. Inconvenient because all my source files and text are handy within the FIgma file. For the fonts issue where I cannot extract text without installing the Font Agent.I have downloaded and installed “Figma Agent.app”, cleared cache and restarted browser and computer but still the same. If I click on my Account profile, then Settings, under Font’s it says: “Local fonts are currently not enabled. Install font service to enable local fonts” I am en experienced graphic designer but a Figma novice so maybe I am missing something. Seems broken though. Cheers, Waynos 

The need for custom shortcuts remains: Customizable shortcuts Share an idea They are customisable on Mac but not all shortcuts work. E.g. you can’t CMD + 1 for “Zoom to Fit”. Instead it switches to the first Figma tab. You can’t override it. In the meantime, I’ve been using the System Preferences of MacOS to create custom shortcuts: Those shortcuts have stopped working a while ago. This is important - it needs to be fixed.

As above, doesn’t seem to be a clear and obvious solution in the Figma UI
