Well there is European hosting? As long it’s ISO/IEC 27001 certified you are good to go.
Figma
“sensitive information and cannot allow cloud-based apps” sounds so 2010 to me and it’s no longer valid for me. If your company still sees it differently, my condolences. But then they are living under a rock and I work in the b2b finance secotor which is not known for being innovative.
And sry to tell you that but it’s not Figma who is sending you away it’s your company imho.
I wrote a little article about Figma vs Sketch. It was more of a summary of the process of how I got chrono24 from Sketch to Figma. Your journey or reasons of use could be different: Process optimization to deliver a better user experience (#2) - My Framer Site
If that’s not enough, then you might want to look for a new employer.
Don’t misunderstand, I’m not saying you should change employers because of Figma (tooling will always change), but rather because it shows the current mind-set of the company.
What surprises me is that you already have it in the company? Or have there been changes at management level and there is now someone there who thinks they have to change everything? Anyway, good luck!
Hi @Chris64
Yeah, it’s not about the mindset of the company of how much is the profile of the company (cyber/gov) which doesn’t leave much room for “negotiation”.
I bet there are many similar situations where a tool like Figma is welcomed by the management (so, not about the mindset), but limited by the security policies.
ah cyber/gov… touché. 😅
Yes, then PenPot, as Gleb mentions, is interesting for you!
