I’ve searched for similar topics but haven’t come up with anything that directly answers the problem I’m having. Hello everyone, I’m new to Figma so I apologize if this is an obvious and easy solution, but my layout column grid is covering the rest of my design layers and I’m not sure how to turn this off. The tutorial I was following added in their layer elements and they automatically went over the applied column grid, whereas with my design, the grid is automatically covering my layers. I’ve tried bringing the layers to front and changing the opacity of the grid, to no avail. I’d appreciate any and all assistance! Thank you.

Someone have any idea how to solve this scrolling issue?I have my frame set to scroll, and when the PDF icon is clicked, an overlay outside the frame opens. However, it scrolls when the main UI scrolls as well. I can’t seem to tell the frame not to scroll with parents. Ideas? I feel like the solution is simple but I can’t think of it right now haha.  

The menu center at the top where you click to create new components is gone, how do I get it back?

I’m trying to use Figma auto layout wrap with components inside. I set the parent component width to have a fill property and set min-width and max-width values but the instances of the parent component are not inheriting the “fill container” property. Due to this minor issue I have to manually select every instance ( children components ) within auto layout and set the width to fill. Then it works. Why do I have to do this? why can’t I inherit the “fill container” from parent component?

I published components from Project A and am using them in Project B. When I’m in Project B I get an “update components” notification and when I update it reverts to an OLD version of the components. The same is true for variants. we have an accent variable that was switched from an old color to a new color, and every time I update components in Project B, it reverts to the old color. EDIT: when I click “go to main component” it goes to the perfectly fine component. if I copy it from there and cmd+shift+R it into Project B, I’ll get the same godforsaken notification that “updates are available” and the updates will revert to the old trash version. wish someone would click “revert” on the Figma codebase.

 in my figma desktop app there are scrolling visual bugs and it’s bothering… I have tried several ways to find a solution but none of them worked (uninstalled and downloaded again, updated, troubleshooted) does anyone know why this is happening? 

Hi. I have 2 components which are cards.  When the card is >249px I want to show this card  and when it is <250 px I want to show this card I would use a media query in code, is there a way I can do this in Figma?  Thanks. 

I placed a navigation bar over a screen, whenever i click an empty space on the navigation bar in prototype view it just selects whatever is on the actual app screen behind that empty space

Creating this because all topics I’ve been able to find regarding this have been closed and I think this is essential.It’s wild that for string, number and boolean variables you can select another of the same type as a value for prototyping, but you can only use HEX code with color variables. Why? This makes it impossible to take advantage of modes and aliases, among other functionalities, when creating a prototype.Screenshot of Figma  DocumentationI haven’t been able to find a plug-in to circumvent this so I would appreciate it if someone’s  willing to share whatever workarounds they’ve been able to find, if any. Thanks!

Hi everyone,I recently create my portfolio on Figma but I’m having issues with hyperlinks on Macbook PDF viewer. On my Windows PC with Edge it opens perfectly but on Apple side I can’t click on the hyperlinks, only text shows up. Any advice?

I have a question about how Figma/dev tool works. I'm a web developer and have a Figma Professional subscription with Dev Mode included ofc. A UX designer shared their project with me, but when I try to use Dev Mode on the shared project, I get a message saying that I need special permission or a Dev Mode request from the admin and that my account is restricted. Can you tell me what's going on?

I am building component libraries and soon full documented design system for a mid-sized team working on massive e-learning tools. management is interested in thing like plugins like locofy.ai to streamline work. i personally am anti-plugin for many reasons, but I digress as I need to answer leadership questions. I would really love to find someone to have an actual consult or conversation with about their use of locofy and how their developers and teams work with it. Anyone interested in discussing? I don’t really know where to begin, but want to get some experienced stories. Thanks.

I am setting color variables for a color set of 12 values using #060914 as the base dark color. I use HSL slider to adjust each of the values so gradually is will be lightest on the 12 var. When I copy/paste to the next var, the ‘H’ value and ‘S’ value change when i paste it. Why is it doing this? First var: Values when pasted into next var:

Я использую фигму в браузере и установила Install Figma Agent, даже переустановила его несколько раз, но когда я захожу в свой аккаунт в раздел “Fonts”, там написано что я не могу скачивать локальные шрифты и опять предлагает скачать Install Figma Agent. При этом когда я открываю сам Install Figma Agent, он пишет что установка прошла успешно и я могу скачивать локальные шрифты. Если кто-то знает как разобраться, скажите пж

When viewing a prototype in responsive mode it enables scroll when the viewport height is less than the designed height. Even when it’s set to No scrolling, there is no min width or height etc. I want the prototype to be responsive, have it adapt to the size of the viewport of the user, whether the viewport is bigger or smaller. When I need a min size I can always define a min width/height. Making the initial frames of prototypes much smaller than what’s common is cumbersome because it’s makes it harder to work with the page. You’d always be looking / working with what’s an edge case. It can lead to weird issues, where once you’ve scrolled through a child element it will scroll the whole page: Example file:Figma – 1 Oct 24 Is there a workaround?

I never made a token named as ‘Grayscale/0 2’. but as you can see on the screenshot, some random tokens renamed as ‘Grayscale/0 2’. when I get out of dev mode, it’s going back to its orignal token name. How can I fix it?

I have taken screenshot from browser .The font plugin and the developer tool shows as font has 45 px of font size in browser . As my screen resolution in windows 11 that shows 1920 X 1080 so I take frame of 1920 X 1080 . After that when I paste the screenshot take from web browser of the design and fit to the frame (size of my laptop) . While copying the design I find that 45 px in Figma aren’t equal to 45 px of screenshot take from web browser . Why is that so ? Am I doing something wrong ?

Hello! I have a problem. I’ve made a design for a web portal on 1440x1024 dimensions. Now I have problems with the developers because the dimensions that I’ve used in Figma (sizes, space between elements, etc.) do not correspond with my Figma design. For example: If I put a space between elements of 8, and the developer also used 8, at the end, on his screen the space is way bigger than in my design. What I’m doing wrong? I really need help on this.

Issue: When I zoom to 100% in design mode I expect to see a frame of 1920 px wide fill the width of my screen. It however extends the width. I tested to create a new frame and it does the same, it almost feels like the file has some scaling issue. Context: Platform is windows, in the desktop app… Screen resolution is 1920 wide, windows UI scaling is at 100%. Figma interface scale is also 100%

Seems like auto-layout in Slides is missing the ability to set a child element height / width to “fill” - am I missing something?

The TextNode (https://www.figma.com/plugin-docs/api/TextNode/) has a whole range of getters and setters like setRangeFontSize and getRangeFont size, but there is no setter that corresponds with getRangeFontWeight(). This would be a useful one for me, just curious if it’s on the backlog. Thanks!

I am actually this file’s admin. I don’t know why it in others’ drafts. I also cannot see tons of files in my drafts… Is that means someone remove my files? Why I didn’t see any alerts or action. Could you help me find my lost files? Thanks
