I am currently encountering a significant issue with my MacBook M1 Pro, which has 16GB of RAM. When I operate my primary applications, the memory usage consistently reaches about 15-16GB, which is alarmingly high and affects the performance of my system. This issue becomes particularly noticeable when using Figma, as it seems to exacerbate the memory usage.

Could you please provide guidance or solutions on how to manage or reduce this high memory usage? Are there specific settings in Figma that I should adjust to alleviate this issue? Also, I would like to know if this is a common problem among MacBook M1 Pro users or if there might be something specific with my setup.

Hi there,

Thanks for the post. Have you had any chance to look at this troubleshooting article: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360040523973-Technical-troubleshooting-tips?

This doesnโ€™t solve the problem, but if Figma uses lots of memory, this article could be a helpful resource: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360040528173-Reduce-memory-usage-in-files. I hope you can check these.

Please let us know how that works!

Thanks,

Toku
