Cannot Apply Boolean Variable to Variant

I’m not entirely sure what you’re looking for, so I have a few questions to better understand your issue:

1. I watched the section of the video you linked, but I didn’t catch the part that no longer applies due to the new UI. Could you clarify what’s changed or no longer relevant?

2. From what I understand, the tutorial demonstrate how to update a component’s state using variables. If that doesn’t align with what you’re looking for, perhaps this might not be the right tutorial you need. Could you share more details about what you’re trying to achieve, maybe with some screenshots, so we can better assist you?

I don’t understand why Boolean is even an option when it isn’t working. 3 months later and I’m having the same issue. I can make a boolean property but there isn’t a way to actually apply it to the variant. 

Boolean properties or variables you apply to certain elements within your component or variant. This allows you to show or hide it without creating variants. Such as the leading icon within a button for instance. By that you can reduce the amount of variants which reduces the complexity of a component and therefore also ram usage.
Just select an element within your component/variant and the click the “Apply variable/property” icon in your right side panel under “Appearance”.

In other cases where you don’t simply want to show or hide certain elements, you need to use variant properties as you can also change colors, paddings, content etc.
