Hello,


I am having an issue while exporting comps in Figma.

I am trying to export just one comp and Figma says “Downloading images 0/42” when actually there is not even one image and keeps saying that without exporting.

I tried to install again the desktop app and also export the comp in the Figma browser and still the same issue.

Anyone knows how can I solve this issue please? I have to deliver so many comps and this is driving me crazy.

Closing and reopening Figma solved this for me


the same issue I have here. I have closed managed to download 2 images and then the issue came back for the 3rd image.


Same here, already reinstalled Figma but it dit not fix the problem


Same here, only just started happening for me after I switched laptops. Is it to do with processor capabilities?.. I hope not!


Making a new board takes up far too much time when we’re doing so many assets a day, and is only a temp solution before the problem arises again.


I’ve got an Apple M2 Pro and the same issues. Might be a server problem. Reinstall, move to another new Figma file and delete cache did not work out for me. It’s super annoying because I’m on a tight deadline -.-


exporting images still doesn’t work


After the recent update I was experiencing the same issue when exporting photos/images. I closed my tab and restarted Figma and that worked for me. Hope this helps.


2017 iMac 27in running Monterey.


Same problem this week. Restarting Figma or the tab works but only momentarily. The bug returns after a few exports


I have the same issue with exporting for the whole day after recent update. Sadly, closing app and reloading don’t help much, but sometimes it works.


This issue is still occuring, as others have mentioned the only way past is to restart the app, dont close tabs even, just restart to get through

Thanks for the reports. Is the issue still happening even after you reload the tab? We believe the issue should be fixed now, but please let us know if you are still seeing it even after a force reload of the tab.


If the issue is still happening, what is the specific operation that is causing it? Is it “save local copy” or “export” or both?

Restarting Figma helped, but I’ve never experienced this hangup before. I was using export.

Had the same problem. Restarted Figma and it worked again, but lost a lot of time trying to figure out what was wrong.


I got same problem. I use ctrl+shift+c to copy as png, every restart of Figma gives me only one png, then the problem happens again. I have to keep restarting again and again, until i have my 50+ pics a day done

Same for me. However, it started to appear just recently. Quite inconvenient. Sometimes simple page reload helps but keeping reloading for every pic both tiresome and unsuitable for heavy projects/slow connection.


I use “export” for jpg and png.
