Why the After Delay does not accept 0 seconds?

I am making an animation on landing page but I need to make is smooth and not break from frame to frame. Is there a way to make the After Delay to accept 0 seconds? Thanks

Button with Auto Layout - Text and Icon with Space

Hey folks! I’m facing the following problem. I want to create different buttons. However, the icons I’m using have a safe space. So auto-layout doesn’t really work. Attached is a picture. Do you have any idea how I can fix this? THX!

Hover states are being triggered behind an frames/layers/objects

I am created various prototypes in Figma, and in the prototype, I sometimes have an overlay and a modal on top of a screen, to show that modal’s interaction. But I noticed that when I mouse over elements, it triggeres the hover states behind the overlay? How does that make sense? See this prototype: Figma – 29 Mar 23 Do people have any solutions for this? Note: I can’t use “open overlay” because that functionality is broken too. Imagine I have an overlay that’s small like a dropdown, then I click on that to open another overlay (using smart overlay). I can’t reposition it accordingly or add animations etc, because Figma does not work well with multiple overlays connected to one another.

GIPHY widget

Hi I’ve tried using the GIPHY widget but I can’t post any stickers or GIFs but my colleagues can. When I click the chosen GIF with ‘paste as animated gift’ selected, nothing happens. I’m ‘editor’ on Figjam.

Problem with interacitve behaviour in nested component

Hey, I have a problem with interactive components. It seems like a bug, but maybe it is by design and I need to rethink this structure… As you can see in the video i have an instance of my interactive button component that works just fine… in the design system I work on, the button is nested in other components, in this case in breadcrumb. Here you can see my problem: The hover and click behaviour of the button is weird. But as soon as I detatch the breadcrumb and the button is no longer “nested” it works just fine.

Add titles to FigJam links?

I love the little Links thingy in Figjam, and use it a ton for either sharing resources with my team or just keeping things organized for myself. My only complaint about it is that there’s no easy way to toss in a custom title of what the link is? I usually end up making a text box or something to label them, but it’s always a little annoying. Would love to have a text field where I could slap in an article title or something before I create the link.

Email address in the shared list

My org recently changed email domain. This triggered a serious of changes in our figma files. Currently I have several users with the same name and I can’t see which one is the old user and which one is the new user. It would be easier to understand what is shared with whom if the shared list contained email address as well.

[Suggestion] Cannot quickly add a label on AWS template for system diagram

I am a software engineer and want to draw a system diagram with FigJam AWS template Link. However, I cannot quickly add a label on the AWS service icon below and I have to create a text element and adjust the position for each AWS service icon. It is very inconvenient and makes the diagram layout not consistent if we do so. Here is a suggestion: Drag the icon to the diagram (or we can search) Double-click the icon Auto-focus the icon below with input text

Prototyping | New event listener: checking if object is in viewport

An event listener that checks if the object is visible and then changes the variant of the component (with ‘smart animate’). It would be great if there was an event listener for prototyping that checks if an object is visible in the viewport. Maybe also with the option to check if the object is already completely visible or if it just enters the view port. This would improve the possibilities to create scroll animations enormously. so far it is only possible with, not so well working, workarounds. → example: when the object enters the viewport (by scrolling), the animation of the component gets triggered.

Copy and pasting artboards within a section

When using the new section feature, if you copy and paste an artboard it pastes the new one right on top of the old one. If you do the same thing outside of the sections, the pasted artboard goes next to the original. I’d be nice if it behaved the same way within the sections.

Locking a frame shouldn't make links inside unclickable

If I lock a top level frame with links inside it seems to make the links not work anymore. I can lock the actual text layer with the link and they still work, and I can even lock the frame if it’s a nested frame and the links still work, but if I lock the top level (or seemingly even second to top level) it makes it so that the links are no longer selectable. This makes documenting things in Figma that I don’t want other people to accidentally mess with really difficult.

Prototype models for iphone 11 and 12 are missing

I’ve been working for about two weeks on a file where i used the Iphone 11 pro Max screen size for my frames. All was going well when today (October 25th), i found that these devices models where missing. The ihpone 11 pro model is one that i enjoyed using for some months now, and would take some time to rework all the diferent projects on wich it has been used.

Connected Prototypes / MQTT / Custom Code

Hey, an essential feature for our team, in the long run, would be the possibility to add custom code, in order to add extended functionality to our prototypes (a la Framer). Alternatively, and in the meantime, it would be a huge win to communicate between prototypes or generally with prototypes and their components, ideally via something versatile, like MQTT. We do prototyping beyond mobile devices and regularly need to interface multiple screens, devices, and custom hardware (e.g. Microcontrollers). We do of course have other tools for that as well but since our designers primarily work in Figma, it would be really nice to close the gap between their click-dummies and our prototypes.

FigJam visitors can’t edit

Hello, Tomorrow I have a workshop and the participants can’t write anything. I already opened the session, and sent them the link with editing rights. Keyboard shortcut overrides text input

I frequently use the French Canadian - CSA keyboard layout on MacOS with a standard ANSI keyboard. In order to enter < or >, I press opt + , or opt + . respectively. Unfortunately, Figma takes this as opt + < and adjusts my character spacing making it so I have to change layouts in order to enter these characters. Here’s a screenshot of characters accessible with opt and their positions on the keyboard:

Prototype presentation in wrong order

Any clues as to why a presentation would show artboards in the wrong order? I’ve removed and rehashed all the connections many times. Also, on some elements in the artboard, the ‘overlays’ are not showing in the ‘manual’ position I have set them in. Sounds like some glitches?

Is it possible to mask a Figma component or Instance?

Hi all, I am trying to mask a component within Figma but it doesn’t seem to work. Instead, the entire component is shown, and in the layers component the line that indicates what content the mask is masking stops below the component.

🔍 Select multiple 'Find Text' search results

When using Find Text to find layers, you can only select one search result at a time. One common use case I have for using the Find Text feature is to isolate certain frames. It would be nice to be able to select multiple search results to make batch editing easier to do things like: Swapping the selected instances Renaming selected frames Updating the style for the selected text layers. Replace text only for the results I’ve selected. This was previously requested here.

Feature request: App switch animation between screens in prototype tool

Often the main purpose of the user tests we create is to see how our service is understood when the flow consists of app switches between a browser (or other apps) and our own app. We would love it if you could make a prototype transition that mimics the app switch animation.

I am the Admin of a file and have a paid account but my account is restricted

I searched before posting but was unable to use the threads for a solution. I am the account and file admin of a file I am trying to edit. Receiving this message: “your account has been restricted by an admin. To edit files, please contact your admin to upgrade you.” I even upgraded to a paid account this morning to see if that was the issue. Help!

Selection using the Find/Replace feature

The “Find & Replace” is a lifesaver of a feature, but I found it lacking in one aspect. The Find & Replace does not allow selection of multiple instances of the found the layers/components. What if we could select multiple layers/components using the Find & Replace feature?? I get excited by thought of it. PLEASE CONSIDER IT AND ADD IT AS A FEATURE!
