Modal/overlay component in design system?

Fred_Erick

Hi, how do you create a “overlay/modal” component for a design system? Because you cant add content as you like in the grey section, in an instance.

That doesnt work, since it need to be possible to add , headline, subline, text, buttons and images as well. I created now several instanzes of my swap component, so i can swap every component into it.

You can add text in the grey area without an issue, simply use the text tool to create text there, and then you can edit it in any of the instances.

I would refer you to search the community files for examples of overlays, esp looking at Google Material Design system: Dialogs – Material Design 3 and its Figma Material 3 Design Kit | Figma Community
