Allow page hierarchies

It’s great that we can now add natural dividers within the page structure but it would be even better if you could create hierarchies or expandable sections within the pages section. For example, if you had a file that consisted of designs, research and misc for example, you may want multiple pages like this: Designs Desktop Mobile webapp iOS Research For testing Competitor analysis Market Misc Cover Background information This would provide a page hierarchy that would be much easier to use and more focussed, especially as a file grows over time.

I cannot access to my own file!

Hello all, I am looking for help related to a recent incident that happened with me. I’m unable to access my own file which I worked on last night, I shared a prototype out of it with a client, and after couple of hours, he complaint about losing access, When I checked, my project was disappeared, not in trash or draft even. The only owner and edit was me only. Please help me with this or if anyone from Figma officials can help me with this.

Delete variable color: I deleted them but it still appears in the color list

After I updated Figma, it was really hard to use. I deleted all variants but when I select an object and change color, it shows all the variants I deleted even though I filtered by local variant. Would love for Figma to improve the ux better. Terrible experience

Issue with Deleted Variables Not Being Removed After Publishing Library

I’ve encountered an issue with variables in my Figma library. I deleted several variables from the library, but when I published the library and updated my design file, the deleted variables were not removed. They still occupy space in the workspace. When I return to the library and publish changes again, I notice that while components are updated correctly, the variables remain unchanged and are not deleted even after multiple publishing attempts. This affects my workflow, as I can’t fully remove unused variables. Any guidance on resolving this would be greatly appreciated.

File not found, Can't access

I no longer have access to my Figma file because every time I open it throws me out with the message “Request access to this file”, how is this possible? I created it! Could you please confirm where the source files are located? We’re unable to see them on our end through the admin portal either. Also emailed Figma Team on every possible platform. Is there any possibility to resolve this issue ASAP.

Show/Hide selection (Shift+cmd+H) is not working

For some time now, the shortcut to Show/Hide selection (Shift+cmd+H) has stopped working. I have tried cleaning the cache but nothing happens. Anybody else with a similar issue?

You may have noticed changes recently where fonts were replaced on load in prototypes with interactive components, even when the prototype was viewed on a device with access to those fonts. This was a bug and has been fixed. We are launching new font handling behavior for interactive components in prototypes viewed on devices without access to fonts. This fixes various layout and override preservation bugs that would occur when prototypes using local-only fonts inside interactive components were viewed on devices without those fonts installed. We’re now replacing any missing fonts inside interactive instances with Inter when loading a prototype with interactive components enabled. Duplicate Payment Issue and Account Access Problem

Hi Figma Community, I recently faced an issue with the payment for my Figma annual license, and I wanted to share my experience in the hope of getting some guidance: I initially tried to purchase an annual license using my email ID, xxx@xxx.com, but encountered a technical problem that prevented access to the Pro account. To resolve this, I attempted another purchase using another email, but soon realized that payments had been deducted from both accounts. I immediately canceled the plan associated with the second email, but I’m yet to receive a refund for the duplicate charge. Additionally, I found the payment gateway to be quite confusing, with several glitches and unclear processes, which led to this issue in the first place. I’ve attached screenshots of the payment as proof and reached out to Figma Support, but I still need assistance to resolve the problem and regain access to my Pro account. I appreciate any guidance or help from the community on how I can expedite this process.

Figma unbearably slow after fetching library update

Since a few months, whenever I publish a component update from the library file and I fetch it in the design file, Figma has a really hard time updating the components in the design file. Clicking on an element shows a second delay, and when panning the screen everything is jittery. It’s unworkable. And the best thing is that Figma doesn’t get out of this state anymore, I tried to just leave it for an hour, but when I came back it was all the same. The only solution is to restart Figma… When I quit Figma a popup shows that unsaved changed will be lost, which I accept, and then when it restarts the component update came through and Figma is smooth again.

Several new users not able to accept invitation to design via SSO

Several NEW users being added to our organization in the past 3 weeks are UNABLE to complete the invitation process due to NOT being sent to our org’s SSO page. They get the normal Figma login and get an error when they try to login with SSO or get a message to complete the account creation process by entering a Figma code sent to their email (which NEVER arrives no matter how many times they try). It seems random. Other users were added in the same period and were able to complete using SSO with no issues in the process. Having SSO in Figma work for some users and not others in the same org is very weird. Our IT team has looked into everything on our side and there are no differences in how these users are setup or provisioned at UL. Also, we can’t find anything wrong with the SSO setting in Figma. It should either work for everyone or fail for everyone. THIS IS VERY URGENT FOR US. We have many designers unable to start working on their tasks in our Org and every single attempt to ope

How to tranfer files in expired account to new account?

Hello! I would love to get support about moving files from an expired account to a new account. I have been using my undergraduate account(gmail) for the edu plan and got a notification it is expired. Now I have started graduate studies, I made a new edu account with my new school email. I still need to use the materials in the previous account, but it is locked and not letting me give the owner access to my new account. Is there any way I can access and edit the files in the previous account?

Figjam capabilities in Figma file

How to Share Figma Slides with Clients for Commenting Only—Hide File Access and Speaker Notes

Goal: I want to share a Figma Slides presentation link with my client, allowing them to comment but preventing access to the file itself, including the ability to view speaker notes or other hidden features. Issue: When setting permissions to ‘View’ for Anyone or Invited, clients can open the file and access the toolbar, which includes speaker notes and other options. Is there a way to restrict their access to commenting only without exposing these additional elements?

Center text in sticker note

I am tutoring english or programming and we work with texts/words in collored boxes. There are two ways how to put text in collored box: sticker note and square object. Square object by default center text horizonally and vertically. And it is possible to align the text by clicing popup panel to the left or right. But sticky notes does not have this option. Why is not possible to align text to the left/right or ceter it horizonally/vertially using popup tool panel?

Hyphenate paragraph text

Currently, Figma users cannot select an option to hyphenate paragraphs (which would be especially useful when using justified type layout). It otherwise leaves large spaces in between words. It shouldn’t be a complicated feature build and would certainly help make Figma more layout-friendly.

Add ability move the order of modes in your variables schema

I work with a system of brands (modes) which I have organised in alphabetical order. I can only create a new mode which adds it to the far right of the table. I need to now add more modes which will need to adhere to this alphabetical order, but there is currently no way (or that is visible) to re-order these modes. Clicking and dragging a column in the table order or being able to re-order them (in the same way we can order properties within a component would be extremely useful and actually necessary).

Toolbar stuck on bottom of UI. Why?

Why are we putting the toolbar on the bottom of the UI? Either stick it to the top middle or just make it movable.

Please add customizable keyboard shortcuts

I get used with ALT/OPTION key + mouse wheel for zoom in & out in most of design industry’s apps. It’s so hard to adapt with CTRL/CMD key here in Figma. And when I get used to the CTRL/CMD and have to switch back to other design applications, I have to adapt back to the ALT/OPTION agai. So it’s frustrating me twice, and I am sure this bothers other users too. Can you please consider a way to customize keyboard shortcuts?
