my issue is, whenever I turn on collapsed state, the icons from the nested components are not following into the nested one. its all inside the same component

Nested component properties not updating with main component
I’ve noticed that some icons do carry over, while others don’t, the “News” and “Dashboard” icon is still there, but the others dissapear for some reason

From what you’ve shared, this sounds due to feature limitation. It’s not possible to push overrides to a component that’s nested within another component. You will need to make those changes to the main component itself.
