I paid the annual subscription for my Figma team, it’s been a month since I made the payment and so far everything was going well and recently I got this message “Payment failed Our last attempted charge was unsuccessful. Please update your payment method as soon as possible. File editing will be locked after 3 failed attempts.” and the charge was made to my card.

For others here who may encounter a similar issue, the team was locked because of a new invoice (with one additional FigJam seat).
In order to remove this additional seat: while it's not possible to remove FigJam as a feature completely, you can restrict your current team's usage of it by downgrading team members' roles to "Viewer - restricted." This would keep users from editing or creating new FigJam files in the team.
