I am working on updating my design system by creating color and typography updates in the branch while continuing to add new components to the main file. Since you can’t publish a branch, I need to add them to the main file so that I can use publish and use them in other projects.
The new components aren’t showing up in the branch - is there a way to sync just this but not everything?
I’m not certain I am reading the problem correctly but I’ll propose this solution to you:
When changes are made to the Main file, the next time you open the branch there should be a Dark Banner at the bottom right side of your screen like this:
Click Update and the changes from your Main file will be available to merge into your branch and you should be able to select which changes you want to admit into the branch.
Sometime they end up all clumped together and you can’t really be selective about it in those cases I would suggest you just copy and paste the new elements from Main into the Branch.
