Normally, files that are opened are opened in “Zoom To Fit” mode. This means that all frames are immediately visible.
In my case, however, the files are opened in such a way that none of the frames are displayed. So I always have to activate “Zoom To Fit” first. This is not dramatic per se, but it is somewhat annoying.
Is there a way to set “Zoom To Fit” by default?

Files opened in other programs you mean?
I’m not sure about that. Photoshop, Affinity Photo, Corel Draw, Krita etc. may do that, but they are not infinite canvas design software. So it’s not an apples to apples comparison.
But to answer your question, I don’t know if you can do that. Maybe you should post this in the feedback forum instead?
