Figma App is lagging so bad

I do have the same problem.

Whenever I run commands like select all text layers, Figma just breaks and becomes irresponsive.

This looks odd, clearing the cache can help as sometimes issues in the app may be caused by something stored in the Figma app cache. The restarting step usually helps to make sure that the cache is properly cleared before reinstalling the app.

Thank you for your support. Unfortunately, even after clearing the cache, nothing changed in the app. I understand the importance of sharing the problematic file, but I prefer not to do that as it contains confidential material. I will try to recreate the issue in a new file and then send it.

Same issue here, noticed it yesterday. Working on the same file for weeks now, nothing has really changed in complexity. I’m on the web app.

It is not a file issue. Don’t let them make you jump through hoops! This is not your problem.

Hello all - I’m sorry that this seems to be an ongoing issue for you.

I know some of you may have already tried troubleshooting, and it hasn’t helped. A couple of things I’d recommend trying as well, just to cover all bases:

-If you’ve already cleared the cache and cookies for Figma specifically already, open your choice of browser, and open a window in Incognito mode. Try loading Figma there to see if there are still issues.

-If you’ve not tried already: please try uninstalling the app completely, reinstalling, restarting your computer, and testing again.

At this time, since it sounds like it’s not an issue with a specific file, I would +1 @Celine_Figma’s message, and recommend filing a support ticket here. If the behavior is still slow, then that is something our tech quality team has requested be reviewed by them.

After the update, lagging has been a big problem. Is there a solution to this yet?
