Idea for Slides: Free Frames

When creating a presentation, our team tends to have mini brainstorming sessions or retrieve useful information from different presentations or design files.

We do this by pasting frames, images, text, or any kind of material, freely in the canvas as a reference for new slides.

The problem is when pasting 1 or several 1920x1080 frames (same size as a slide) it automatically converts them to a slide (great for most cases, but restrictive otherwise). This means it is forced to align to a row and behave as an slide, when we just want it to have it there ā€œfloatingā€ around for a while as we are working on ideas and polishing things up. 

At the end we create a new version and delete these references so we can have a clean file. 

I was wishing for the ability to convert a slide into ā€œjust a frameā€ (this means it wouldn’t be displayed in slide view or presentation mode). And maybe a special paste function that ignores slide conversion would be nice.

And now that we’re here, I would also include a hide/show ā€œjunkā€ (anything that is not a proper slide) toggle šŸ˜…
