Hello, I am new to Figma and Ui practise. I have a small doubt with pencil tool. While holding shift key and drag mouse I get vertical and horizontal straight lines. But, I can’t get tangent straight lines with the help of this. Can anyone please show how to draw tangent straight lines in Figma with pencil tool.

I’m trying the same, looks like it’s not possible for now

Hi I would like to make a suggestion for a slight improvement to the pencil tool. I do quite a bit of sketching for UX storyboards, but find it difficult to use Figma for it, mostly because I cant get a straight line for quick sketches. I use Adobe Photoshop currently, as i’m able to click the shift button and it allows a straight line within 2 points on the canvas. If this simple feature could be added to Figma i’d really appreciate it, as i eventually bring the work into Figma.

Anyone else having similar issues?

I want to vote for adding the functionality of holding shift to draw straight diagonal lines. I tutor and not having this function (which Jam Board had) is problematic multiple times per session.

Yes-I need straight diagonal lines as well. I would use it multiple times per session when tutoring.

Hi everyone, thank you for sharing your feedback on the Pencil tool. I completely understand how being able to create tangent straight lines with the Pencil tool could be helpful.
