I’m working on creating a lot of components with text fields in them and I can’t figure out how to get the text fields to appear for an instance of a component within the Design menu. See the screenshots below of what I’m trying to recreate for an instance of a component. I can set the properties so that it shows/hides the labels, but I can’t seem to figure out how to set the property to also allow me to change the text from the Design Menu like in the screenshot above.
The previous UI As my habits, the Plugins function is very important and common. But in the New one I can’t find it visualized. But I also want to try the new UI more. So,Can you add back the Plugins on the screen?
Please correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t believe there’s anyway to disable the snap to grid with a keyboard shortcut. Typically in programs I’ve used, you can disable snapping by holding CTRL or ALT. Since ALT has the functionality of duplicating the selected item, it would be nice if holding CTRL then could be used to prevent items from snapping to the grid when dragging them. Thank you +1
I’m testing a prototype where a user needs to drag a slider to allocate a specific amount of money. The placement of the slider determines the $ amount. At the moment, I’ve created 5 screens that place the slider at different points and used the drag interaction to allow the user to drag and drop the slider on each of those 5 points. This is clunky as it means the user can only select one of the 5 points I’ve specified and, if they want to go directly from one end of the slider to the other, they have to drag and drop incrementally to get there. Is there an easier way to achieve a granular drag and drop interaction without having to create multiple screens?
I just updated my Figma to the latest version and I have noticed that when I try changing X or Y position of a vector by .5 px, it also slightly increases the size of that vector (which I dont want). Am I doing something wrong here?
Hello, I have seen this issue quite a few times in the forum (locked out of Figma account that is tied to school email that can no longer be accessed) and was unable to get a response after I opened a support ticket, so here I am seeking help for this issue. The workaround that is suggested by Support staff on this forum (email forwarding) is not an option for me unfortunately. Thank you!
Title basically explains it. The “CMD + \” keyboard shortcut to show/hide the UI in both Figma and Figjam isn’t working for me. I reloaded the page and restarted Figma but still not working. I use this shortcut multiples times a day so it’s definitely impacting my workflow. I’m on a MacBook Pro with M4 Pro, Sequoia 15.3.1

Self-explanatory title. When I click on anything, it automatically wraps to the side. You can see it happen in the GIF below. I click on the little “X” icon and it hides behind the side bar, visible by only its purple outline. Why is this? What have I done wrong?
Issue Description: Hello, I’m experiencing an issue with Dev Mode in Figma: it has stopped loading code, even though it worked fine before. No matter which code type I select (HTML/CSS, React, Swift, etc.) in the Dev resources → Code panel, the field remains empty. Key observations: The loading indicator spins, but in the end, the code section remains blank. I have tried different Dev Mode plugins (e.g., Figma to Code, Figma Tokens, etc.), but none of them load the code. I switched between different code types (HTML, React, Swift), but nothing changes. I have already tried all possible troubleshooting steps, but nothing has worked. What I Have Already Tried: ✅ Checked Figma’s status → https://status.figma.com/ (everything is operational). ✅ Created a new project in my workspace → Dev Mode does not work even in a fresh file. ✅ Tried different Dev Mode plugins → none of them display any code. ✅ Opened Figma in different versions: Web version (Chrome, Edge, Firefox) — Not working Incognit
