Trouble Implementing Hover Interaction for Nested Component Instance in Figma

I want to change the state to the instance’s hover state when hovering over that instance in the parent component. However, I’m only able to access the variants of the parent component, and I can’t seem to modify the hover state of the nested instance."

The workaround i just found is this: I added interactions i wanted right on the main component of the nested instance.
