Transparent png showing background in Figma

I have a png with a transparent background that shows a white background when imported into Figma, how do I fix that?

Are you sure your PNG has a transparent background?

I had this same issue when using Safari. When I tested it on Brave, the issue went away and my PNG uploaded with the transparent background.

Could be a cross-browser functionality issue.

Could you share the png you downloaded? (so we can try to replicate on Safari). And, does it also happens to you on desktop app?
