Text component interaction

Hi there! Welcome to the community.
When you create your main component , the duplicate one is a copy of the main component you can reuse in your designs – also called an “instance”. (You can check this article to cover some basics about component and instances). So when you duplicate that main component (= instance), any changes you make to the main component will be applied to that instance.

As a workaround, when you duplicate the main component, you can detach the instance ( it will be then detached from the main component), then create it as a new component so you that you can make changes to this new component.

Here are the steps:

1. Select the Instance you wish to detach.
2. Click on the Instance menu in the Properties Panel.
3. Select Detach Instance from the menu.
