SITUATION:
In my case, I often need to export an art board as a PNG image, and import it into my canvas instantly, that makes me feel bad commonly.
SUGGESTION:
I prefer to drag ‘Export - Preview’ the thumbnail into my canvas.
Please help me if it could be. Thanks.

Have tried to use copy as PNG
Right Click on your desired selected layer and choose Copy/Paste as > Copy as PNG
Then paste it anywhere you want in your Canvas
You can also use the shortcut which is : (Ctrl + Shift + C on windows) and (CMD + Shift + C on Mac)
