Prototyping and Testing with Haptic VoiceOver feedback

Aaron

Does anyone know of a way to prototype using haptics in Figma? Is there a way? I want to simulate having VoiceOver turned on in the Accessibility settings of the iPhone for testing. I have never seen a way to use haptics with prototyping. Does anyone happen to know of a way to do this or do you need something coded to test this?

I want to know as well. Did you find a solution to this?

I have a similar query as I use a text to speech AI as well and would like to integrate with Figma if possible, it will help me out a lot

That's a really insightful question! It's something many of us who are focused on creating truly accessible experiences have likely pondered. Unfortunately, when it comes to actually feeling those subtle vibrations you get with VoiceOver on an iPhone, Figma just isn't quite there yet. Think of it like trying to describe the feeling of a VoIP call just by looking at the call button on the screen – you can see the potential for interaction, but you can't experience the actual sound or any potential lag. Haptics are similar; they're a physical sensation that Figma, as a screen-based design tool, can't directly replicate.
