I was prompted to update Figma, and I did so. After I updated the program I went into the Figma file that I’ve been working in for the past month. As I’m in the file I don’t see any of my comments loaded. I went to “show version history” to see if I could retrieve any of the comments and the history panel isn’t showing any previous versions before I updated Figma at 10am. The file looks exactly the same but I can’t seem to load any comments from a previous version.
Is there a way to retrieve older comments?
Hey there, welcome to the community, and sorry to hear you are having issues with your comments!
To start troubleshooting, please try these workarounds:
- Refresh the file (or even logging out and back in).
- Try a different browser or device: If you’re using Figma’s desktop app, see if the comments appear when accessing the file from Figma’s web version, or vice versa.
If none of these steps work, please reach out directly to the support team: here
Be sure to use your Figma email account, include the url of your file and share it with support-share@figma.com as an Editor, so we can take a closer look.
Please also let them know the exact time you updated and lost access to your comments for further investigation.
