When boards are old and haven’t been visited in over 3 months, make it so the stickies start to curl and fall off like the leaves of a tree in autumn. This will encourage users to maintain their files and bring more of a realistic skeuomorphism to the experience.

Brilliant idea - I like the idea of encouraging folks to maintain files. Could add a quick and easy restore button, and have the stickies fly back to their original (unwilted) spots.

Whoa that’s cool feedback @Jared_May – perhaps an added email message that reminds everyone what files they’re part of that haven’t been touched as another layer? Something along with the curled sticky notes (ex: email contains a copy/visual of one of the stickies you made).
@Jess_Klutch I like the image of reopening the file and it’s like dust flies out (like a stereotypical movie scene where they blow dust off a book)
