I am using ARC for a few weeks now, and thinking about going back to Chrome. This still hasn’t been solved. As a Product Designer, I need to be able to share my screen and show Figma screens in Google Meet.

I’m on the latest version of everything:

Sonoma 14.5 / Figma v124.0.2

I am also facing the same issue in Mac as I am not able to share Figma via Google Meet. The screen freezes and the other members in the meeting are not able to follow what I am presenting. This has become a problem for the last 1 month.

Hey @Digite ,

Have you tried to force an update as mentioned here?

I see on our backend that some users encounter this issue because they turn on an installed cookies pop-up blocker Chrome plugin. If it is your case, please turn off the cookies pop-up blocker to resolve the issue. As for why it could have affected screen sharing performance, it’s possible that the plugin was interfering with the browser’s functionality related to handling screen sharing or accessing certain elements on web pages.

If this still doesn’t help, please reach out directly to the support team: here

This will help our technical specialists to investigate further your issue. (Please also indicate your Figma and desktop specs). Thank you!

Hi Celine,

I have tried all the possible steps you have suggested before and have tired it again it does not work. I am still not able to present my screen to the stakeholders while on google meeting. The screen is just frozen on the app. In a different thread this ticket number has been shared #1020418 for reference.

Hey @Digite ,

Thanks for letting me know! The technical specialist replied to you, please check your inbox. We have reported this on to our engineers for investigation.

In the meantime, I’d also recommend trying another browser in case you find this works better there, as while we are testing Arc extensively inside Figma, for now it’s not officially ‘supported’. (What browsers does Figma support?).

(For visibility here, the issue encounters here is with ARC browser and not MAC. I’ve gone ahead and created a new topic so we can better follow up this issue.)

Hi everyone,

Splitting here a new thread about the issue with screen sharing on Google with Arc, so we can better track this issue. Thank you!

Hi everyone,

A friend of mine had the same problem and we solved it by following this comment in the thread above :

I went to System Preferences → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording then toggle arc off and on again then make sure when you see the dialog asking you to “quit & restart” click that button and restart arc. then it will start working

The thread : https://www.reddit.com/r/ArcBrowser/comments/14sfah4/your_browser_cant_share_your_screen_in_google_meet/?rdt=52832

This issue remains unresolved for us, even with the latest Figma version on Mac. We’ve tried screen sharing prototypes via Google Meet across multiple browsers, but the problem persists—our prototypes freeze every time.

This is not only disrupting our meetings but also significantly impacting our user testing sessions, making it difficult to gather accurate feedback.

We urgently need a solution or workaround. Has anyone found a reliable fix, or is there an update from Figma on this?

Best regards

Hey there! Sorry to hear this is also happening to you. Can you specify which browsers are affected on your end? (Safari, Chrome…?)

To give you some visibility, in our latest report, the engineering team believe this is likely to be an issue specific to the Desktop app + Arc, so it would be great to investigate further your issue if it happens on multiple browsers. Please reach out directly to the support team by filling out this form, so we can follow up the investigation of your case: here Thank you!

Thanks for the quick reply! Yes these two exactly are affected: Chrome and Safari.

I will fill out the support form, thanks again
